Yeah I've been to Laguna Beach several times in the past. They usually have some excellent art fairs during the summer months, but I never knew about Top of the World or wherever you went that overlooked the whole Laguna Beach region. This is why I watch your videos because I learn something about places I've been to several times in the past.

You rolled thru my town 👋 Grew up here all my life except for the brief eighteen months we lived in Queens NYC, but you were in most of the great places. Signal Hill not being one of them. OC is so special. Laguna and Newport are incredible. Was so excited you enjoyed your stay. Hope you choose a local RV Park here again soon. Great adventures 👍
Robert! I am so glad that you got to experience in Southern California around Orange and Los Angeles County! I was so bummed that I was not in town that I could have made it to meet up to meet you in person. I was in Northern Germany at that time for by birthday also and now in Germany for the holidays with my in laws. Please keep us posted when for your next visit to Southern California (even Disneyland) and we can plan a meet up! Very nice episode! Really enjoyed it. During a short period of driving OTR commercial trucks. I had delivered to southern CA a lot and spent quite a bit of time in Long Beach on those runs. I would always have my truck parked and Uber to the Aquarium of the Pacific and spend my down time there at the marina boardwalk/park/shoreline village. I've walked over the Shoreline Dr. crossing bridge many a times! The lighthouse at the end of the marina park boasts awesome views of the Queen Mary at sunset. From there I'd walk back towards Shoreline Village and typically have dinner at the Hooters.....LOL! They always had Hangar 24 IPA there...........which is why I always went, because that's why we go to Hooters right........for the beer........LOL! Some good memories you brought back my friend.
I've been on the Queen Mary ship a couple of times. They have a great tour where you get to see how finest and most luxurious ship looked in the days of art deco...the ship is really something inside. I think you would have enjoyed that. I've also gone thru the Russian submarine twice although it is closed now and they want it out of there as it is rusting away. That was another great tour...the sailors gave up a great deal in order to go to sea in such a confined space. And they must have had a lot of courage! There are basically no interior walls...the many miles of pipes, tubing, cables and wiring are all exposed. Both the ships are amazing.
I was at that vid con. Working. Not as a vendor or you tuber but as an interpreter for some of the forums. It was very interesting. I learned a lot about you tube.
Just a week and a half before you were at the Queen Mary we were there and we saw how much it was to get on board. Suffice it to say we legged it after we had a good look at the ship and the tatty submarine. Lovely area, and impressive to see such a historical vessel. But we went to go and see the USS Iowa just around the corner instead. A bit more sensibly priced and more educational.
Wonderful! I didn't know they had Star Wars! What a surprise! California I grew up in Diablo Valley, Walnut Creek, I haven't been to Disney land since I was 50, was down there for a convention too, had an extra day and went alone, I rode all the rides I could and some twice, it was awesome, but not as fun as going with family or friends. This addition to your experience was a really nice surprise for us viewers. You are also in great shape walk all those miles! Good show, loved it! Merry Christmas Robert and Family.
I'm just catching up with your travels, but once again I find you in my own backyard. When you were up at Top of the World in Laguna Beach, you could probably see my house, on the other side of that canyon. Kernville and now here. Small world!
Was just there in March. Awesome campground for the views and trails. There is a beautiful beach in front of the campground as well and a lot less crowded than downtown area

Hey Robert- I watched this early this morning. It's amazing that every place you visit in this one played an inordinately important role in my life. For instance, my first apartment was 3 blocks the Queen Mary. It was free and always pretty much empty. We had it to ourselves and nobody much cared what we did after a while. From the time I was little I'd ask for dinner at victor Hugos in Laguna Beach, not far from the first beach you were at. I'd always order the lobster thermidor. I got a hundred more Laguna stories. Things got very interesting there in the late 60's. early 70's.. Well, you're right 'there's something special about thqat pat of the coast', for sure. Disneyland, of course, sometimes twice a year. #82 Good Morning, Mr. Robert. Some of the campgrounds are a pain in California as the occupants live there all the time while working, making noise, etc. The ocean is a attractive nusence.
I found the aquariums in California so interesting compared to Gulf of Mexico stuff. The birds, fish, sea anemones, shellfish and plant life are so different and interesting. The colors of their ocean life is so beautiful. Went to Birch Aquarium down in La Joya.
I don't know what it is about California but there is just so much beauty in one state. It is some bit the weather. It is always sunny and mild. But also, the huge mountains out there. Either from high or low the mountains loom. Now if we could reduce the population while we visit it would be perfecto.
Great vid as always, you can't go to Anaheim and not do Disneyland. What we're you using to film inside the park, know they have strict rules about selfie sticks.
When you went up the road in Laguna Beach up to the hiking area it felt like I had already seen that road in GTA 5 and down in the beach that is Chumash in GTA 5 and Chumash is a tribe that lived in the Ventura, LA, Santa Barbara area.
Having never seen an oil well/pump I was more impressed that there was a pay phone still there, all complete! One question, did you try it! Keep It up. I’m trying to catch up on your trip. One more video and I will be all caught up.
SO I HAVE A SERIO S QUESTION. Would you do a video on pulling a trailer long distances. We just live in Portland Oregon and I really want to take the RV down to Disneyland but it seems scary pulling that far!
I lived in California after I left the service and loved it there until the state government started to get stupid. I do miss the places you visited there. Anaheim Harbor was our go to RV park!

Great video. Those craggy rocks on the California beaches look picturesque but I'm sure they're a little dangerous if you're taking a swim.
