I am originally from the west, and I just wanted to say that the wild west palette hits the colors dead on to what you would see in the west. They seem exactly like my home state, perfectly!
I wasn't sure about this palette to me it seemed like a neutral with a bit of blue but after you displayed it this looks really good. The swatches look amazing and I love the eye look you created.
my husband got me the wild west palette for Valentine's Day and I love it! I don't have any other palette with this color story and the cooler tones really drew me in too. I love my Naked Honey palette so I was expecting good things from this release formula wise and it didn't disappoint! I got this on Saturday and so far I've done a different look each day!
I think Urban Decay did good with this one. This hits a lot of check marks for me: variance in tone and depth, more mattes, and darker mattes. I don't need this, but I appreciate this. Pony Up and Tex are my favourite shades in the palette (and I could use a Pony Up single dupe).
I wish they had taken out two of those light matte shades and added a deep violet/purple along with a red or pinky red shade and made that bronze more of a rust orange color. That would have been a more accurate reflection of the “Wild West” wild flowers and gorgeous desert sunsets.
I love these blues on you!! It really is so flattering with your colouring. I hadn't thought of Born to Run either, as a comparison but I think this one is even better. I have wanted that palette a long time, so I like that this is an option I can actually get. Thanks for the quick review. I used to have a crazy hate-on for anything blues and greens. Now they seem to draw my eye more than any other colour. Bring on more awkward/non-awkward hugs! Your videos always make me happy.
Love the teal on you! This palette was definitely on my wishlist until I saw how similar it is to the Dream Street palette. I'm not sure I "need" both. Thanks for the hug!
I gravitate towards warm/neutral tones 90% of the time, but I surprisingly really like the cool tones in this palette. My first look with the palette I used just the 3 gray/taupe/purple shades and it looked really pretty. I wish the shimmers had a little more intensity but overall it's a good palette. Naked Honey is still my fave.
You're right about the blown-out, too bright marketing pics--from the ones I'd seen of this palette, I had zero interest in it (and I'm a fan of the UD Naked series!). But watching your video's starting to change my mind. Really dig this eye look! Also, you're hilarious and thanks for the hug--back atcha! 🤗
Gorgeous look and great review Amanda. Already have Dream Street and Born to Run, but definitely are going to get Wild West as I really like Urban Decay and this colourstory has my name all over it.
I have an obsession with colour green so this palette grabbed my attention 🤣 but I have so many palettes already with very similar colours as well... there's so many palettes one can buy!
I’m always torn when I see reviews for this palette. I love the color story, but surprisingly I bought a lot of eyeshadow palettes last year (from Colourpop) and I’m pretty sure I can find all these shades. I only own the original Naked and Naked Cherry, and this is the only other one that’s interested me. However, I own Born to Run and love it, so combining it with OG Naked will probably get me the same results. I’m happy to see the BTR comparison in video, I knew it would be similar! Also they were selling this on 2 websites before the release date which was bizarre lol
Oh wow, I used to have earrings like yours! Exact same design but much smaller and pink. Don’t know what happened to them. Probably left behind at some random guy’s bedroom 😂
I really like the look you did. It's very flattering on you. I like wearing blues. I'm glad that they are having a moment right now. I think Wild West is pretty close to Born to Run. It makes me want to pull out & use BTR more now. The quality seems great. But I can't justify paying $54 for a palette that I only like because it has 2 blue shadows in it. I've learned not to jump on every new release. Instead I wait for reviews like yours to assess a product. I do regret not picking up Salvaje last year. It's a color story that I like. But, it's been a heck of a year. 💙
Wasn't the main complaint of the naked ultraviolet the lack of mattes and lack of depth? Also the presence of the neutral half was controversial, some people liked having heutrals to use the purples as pops and some thought it detracted from the purples that could've been. This one has the blues and greens as solid pops while still being a solid neutral palette rather than the half and half that was the UV. It is nice to see a brand truly listen to the critiques and implement them in later products.
Glad you made a comparison with the UD's Born to Run, because I have this palette, thus I don't have to purchase this one; it's not like it's available in Finland yet, but still. But the artwork of this package is very beautiful, pity that they didn't put more of those darker and deepert tones into the palette, it would have been even more interesting than it is. It really is confusing as to why companies do these oversaturated or too dark pictures of their products, especially when it has something to do with makeup. I would love to see a picture where I can see the true to life colours of the shades, not the overexposed version of them. This is so evident in this palette's marketing picture and in so many others, you cannot imagine how many times I've been surprised seeing a palette look better or worse in real life after I've seen the promo picture... So I am glad that I've found your channel to really see how these look like in actual life, because these videos are beneficial.
I definitely have this palette on my wishlist but I think I will wait until later on the in the year when UD do their Black Friday sale as the Naked palettes at usually 40% off.
If I can’t get this on sale, I’ll definitely buy it. It’s not “unique”(tbh, can anything really be called unique in makeup anymore?lol), but I still think it’s fun. Especially for Urban Decay!
This is the first Naked color story in a long time I've been interested in and if it had been released 2-3 years ago I'm sure I'd bought it 😊 But now I feel I got what I "need". Especially because Lauren Mae Beauty and Tarababyz compared it with the Naked Heat and I already own the Revolution dupe of that (called Fever and it's great). So the plan is to use that with the teals from Colourpop Dream St and then I basically got Wild West 😁
i actually thought of colorpop's fotest palette in collaboration with raw beauty kristi when i saw this palette!! could you please do a comparison of those on instagram?😌😌😌i really like this color story and didnt think born to run could be this similar!!!
The comparisons were interesting, I kind of feel like makeup companies "copy" each other all the time. Also in testing to see the similarities with the, "Born To Run" palette.
I have all the other naked palettes so what is one more, just waiting for it to hit sites closer to Ireland, if it does not, then will order from Nordstroms when they have it back in stock. I love this look, very very pretty. I think you look like Jennifer Connelly.
The UD packaging looks like dragon scales and I kinda love it and wish they had went with that theming (and made thr colors match the exterior a bit more). But overall, this looks like a very "me" palette
Hi Amanda!!! I have almost all of the comparison palettes 🤦🏻♀️ so I really have to decide if I need this one or not... Thank you for including the launch dates worldwide 😘😘😘
I just love this review Amanda. You dot all the i’s and give us all the information we could need or want. Thank you! I definitely will buy this one. Love these shades. As much as I love this palette, the star for me is the Triple OOO nail polish! Those two shades are gorgeous! How many of each shade did you lay down? Edit: Just saw the Grl Pwr shade! I want the exact look. It’s perfect for spring and summer! Thank you in advance for your time Amanda. I love your face! 🥰
I knew that was GRL PWR on your nails! Thank you for listing it, that was gonna drive me crazy lol - Also, can we talk about how 20 days between releasing at Sephora and most other US retailers is kinda ridiculous??
It's probably some sort of (incentivized) exclusivity deal which happens a lot actually! Same sort of idea when Too Faced has different holiday releases for Ulta and Sephora.
You look so pretty. This palette really tempts me but I have been buying Nomad and love those palettes. So I am trying to avoid this unless it goes on sale Your face makeup is so pretty
I actually like the look of this palette, though if I'm honest I probably have similar-enough shades in the other palettes I currently own. I had the original Naked palette and haven't purchased a UD product since. That pallete was underwhelming imo and UD is really hit or miss.
Good afternoon Amanda! Excited to hear your thoughts on this palette! I think it's a beautiful palette 🤎💙😊 Love your channel and hope you are staying warm💖
You said dislike of snake print makes sense, so please explain (not being a butt, just want to understand). I love how snakes naturally have a color shift to them (in real life), and I love anything inthe world pretty much that color shifts (It is my magical happy place for some weird reason). Paint, eyeshadow, stained glass, animals, cars, etc... Placement of shadows make things "seem" like a whole new painting to me, and I get lost in the pretty colors, so I am always most grateful for your comparisons, because I hate how dumb i seem to be in ending up with so many hugely similar palettes. I love how there "seems' to be such a new, easy inclusion of cool tones with warm tones, but I know it can't be as unique as it appears to be. (Side story: I love snakes, amphibians, reptiles, etc..(especially turtles!!) and had a boa when hubby and I first got together. Being a country boy, he was naturally a hater of snakes, and when we knew I was gonna lose my home and need to move n, it was either him or my snake, so had to say goodby to the snake before we got married, not because he was mean, but just because he had a paralyzing fear- I do of spiders, so I was compassionate/understanding of that. But just thought it was funny, that the wimpy female I am is not scared of snakes, but him and all his minions of young male comrads (his son's buddies) were too terrified to take him in, lol!!! He got what I thought was a good home at the time tho, so my part of the story atleast ended there). By the way, I have never bought and can't afford Urban Decay, so another reason I watched was just for the comparisons- hoping I either already owned something similar or could afford something different if not. I am wondering if that new BFF palette from BH might end up being similar- not done watching video, but assuming, since it was just released, there won't be a comparison of that. - just watched comparisons and I do own Dream Street and have barely ever used (It was my earky purchase of shadows when I first started wearing and buying shadows, especially based on buying off youtuberecs, lol) and I have the Prism dpe of born to Run. Never Thought to compare that one. Still so drawn to the cool and warm mix- and the brush swatches made me even more drawn (I am rambling as you talk, so going back and forth on what I say. sorry.). I can't in any way afford this, so glad I have something to fall back on. Bless you for doing all this. Your videos are always so fun and informative, for me needs, to watch. Thankyou so so much and many blessings!! (Also, side note, I have been eyeing your new stone jewelry on Etsy and hope to make a purchase very soon!!) ETA: You look gorgeous in teal looks BTW!!!
PS: Am i gonna end up with every palette in the world that has a pop or teal, or turquoise, or purple or periwinkle, or blue or duochrome etc.... HELP ME!!! Also, do you think this compares to that large Alter Ego palette? (The color story anyway. Not expecting you to purchase every comparison, lol)
The people who talked about disliking snake prints on my previous vid mentioned having intense fear of snakes, which makes sense to me. I don't have that specific phobia but I can definitely understand not wanting a palette that reminds someone of their deepest fear 😅
Honestly not interested in the palette, the only interesting shades are the ones you used, the reset of it just looks like more of the same old thing. I do love my Stoned Vibes though so I'm always interested in what they bring out - thanks for showing it!:)
I am originally from the west, and I just wanted to say that the wild west palette hits the colors dead on to what you would see in the west. They seem exactly like my home state, perfectly!
The teal shades look beautiful on your brown eyes!
I wasn't sure about this palette to me it seemed like a neutral with a bit of blue but after you displayed it this looks really good. The swatches look amazing and I love the eye look you created.
Always look forward to the bloopers at the end. PLEASE always include!!! LOL

You’re always so quick with uploading reviews😍
I try! 😊
I’m so happy you did these comparisons! I have Dream Street and Born to Run so I’m ok to pass on this!
The blues are beautiful on you! Also i love the bloopers 🤣
For now I’ll use the comparison palettes that I have (all except Salvaje) until this comes to Ulta, then it will be mine!
You look great in green and blue eye colours!
You always look beautiful but these cool tones are especially lovely on you :) love your face!
Thank you so much! 😊
Really does look interesting !!! I can’t wait for mine to arrive in the mail !!!
Appreciate your hard work on the reviews, a sweet thank you 💕
I think Urban Decay did good with this one. This hits a lot of check marks for me: variance in tone and depth, more mattes, and darker mattes. I don't need this, but I appreciate this. Pony Up and Tex are my favourite shades in the palette (and I could use a Pony Up single dupe).
So pretty, I’m gonna see if my local Sephora has it today! I’m just so thrilled that UD is finally making vegan palettes. 😍
The teal look looks great on you!

That blue green color looks beautiful with your brown eyes. I can't wait to get this pallet.
Beautiful palette! I love that you did a blue look. 💙
Love the teal on you! This palette was definitely on my wishlist until I saw how similar it is to the Dream Street palette. I'm not sure I "need" both. Thanks for the hug!
That blue/teal color shows off your beautiful brown eyes. I have green boring eyes and wish I had darker ones!
I love this palette so much do you think you could do more looks with the palette. I have this one! Everyone seems to do the blue and silver look
As I don't have any of the comparison palettes, and I'm in love with Dream St, I'll have to snag this when it's on sale at Ulta.
I gravitate towards warm/neutral tones 90% of the time, but I surprisingly really like the cool tones in this palette. I love love love love animal print!! Snake print and leopard print 🤤👌
Of all the review looks created for this palette, yours is the prettiest! Will be grabbing this when it comes to Ulta. Thank you!!
I have an obsession with colour green so this palette grabbed my attention 🤣 but I have so many palettes already with very similar colours as well... there's so many palettes one can buy!
Would love to see you do a BYOP inspired by this!!!!
I’m so happy I have my Colourpop dream street palette 😍👌

Your swatches look great! I’m tempted by this palette. I really like the pops of colour in this one.

The teal and silver looks beautiful on you! As usual, your nail game is on point to coordinate with the packaging❤️
This look is beautiful.
I have several of the comparison palettes but I LOVE this palette. So I caved and bought it and can't wait to get it!

Love this look on you. I am still considering this palette. I appreciate you putting the release dates for all the different countries.
Reminds me of the IBY Desert Vibes palette, such an underrated palette!
I got it! And its really good! Bravo Urban Decay! I usually get the naked palettes. I skipped the smoked and ultraviolet, but I had to get this one!
I definitely have this palette on my wishlist but I think I will wait until later on the in the year when UD do their Black Friday sale as the Naked palettes at usually 40% off.

I think the color story is really pretty and I do like UD shadow formula. I could see myself getting this on sale later in the year.
Thanks for comparing with Born to Run. I have that, so think I can wait on this new palette.
Thank you so much for doing the Born to Run comparison!
Can you please post your palette storage? I am especially wondering about what you are storing your Too Faced mini palettes in.
I'm in love with your eye look! The shimmers look sooo smooth 😍😍😍
Thanks for the hug and don't be sorry for who you are. 🤣❤️
When I saw it, it reminded me of CP Mar palette
thanks for the Portugal date!

I think it's really pretty.
I think that UD should release a cool tone palette
I love this look on you it's so chic and I like the colour story in this palette but I totally have these shades so it's a pass from me!
I actually like the look of this palette, though if I'm honest I probably have similar-enough shades in the other palettes I currently own. I had the original Naked palette and haven't purchased a UD product since. That pallete was underwhelming imo and UD is really hit or miss.

Thanks, Amanda.
I hope you have a great rest of your day!
P.S. Also love the earrings....
I was dying to watch/hear your opinion :)
Thanks for watching! 😊
In my culture we aren't supposed to own snakes/snake print, we all have our own reasons for not liking snake prints. It is a beautiful palette though.
Honestly not interested in the palette, the only interesting shades are the ones you used, the reset of it just looks like more of the same old thing. I do love my Stoned Vibes though so I'm always interested in what they bring out - thanks for showing it!:)
I like this more than I thought I would but I like shimmers more than matte, and the ND formula isn't my favourite. I think I'm going to pass
I think this palette is beautiful. However, it's not worth $49 for me. This is a palette I will pick up on sale.
