@@gpp8545 Yess you are right Technically "ki" has to be played with the whole hand on the left drum But whenever a Tabla player wants to play the rela in drut lay They often modify it on their own In this video , pandit ji has played "ki" very much similar to "ge" When you play "ge" little bit away from the siyahi and along with high pressure, it will sound like ki (obviously it would take hours of practice to learn play ki like that). He did this because it would be easy for him to play "dha" at the very next moment, otherwise the rela would sound unpleasant without manipulation. If you've learned well enough from your guruji then you can create your own style of playing this rela. Have a nice day
I love how he is completely relaxed.

+TheSingingTabla can you explain a bit about the bols??
I also got d bols from my guruji
Somebody please teach me this rela,?
Dhatirkitatak dhintirkitatak dhatirkit ×2
Tatirkitatak tintirkitatak tatirkita
Dhatirkitatak dhintirkitatak dhatirkit
I think you’ll need to take birth in a new reincarnation before you can play this rela anywhere close to how Panditji is playing it
dha tirkit tak dhin tirkit tak dha tirkit
Jaganpreet singh I have a question..
why the left drum is played this way where Tirkit needs to be played in a different style ..
Jaganpreet singh these are not the correct bols
@@gpp8545
Yess you are right
Technically "ki" has to be played with the whole hand on the left drum
But whenever a Tabla player wants to play the rela in drut lay
They often modify it on their own
In this video , pandit ji has played "ki" very much similar to "ge"
When you play "ge" little bit away from the siyahi and along with high pressure, it will sound like ki (obviously it would take hours of practice to learn play ki like that).
He did this because it would be easy for him to play "dha" at the very next moment, otherwise the rela would sound unpleasant without manipulation.
If you've learned well enough from your guruji then you can create your own style of playing this rela.
Have a nice day
If every table touch is seen as a data bit, his data rate is about 5MBit/sec.
This style no match
Very good, but his drum is out of tune.
+Andrew Miller mind explaining why you think so??
You can hear some dissonance in the harmonics, like the tension is not distributed evenly on the surface of the drum.
Normally the drum is well tuned
But it might slightly vary due to weather conditions
It sounds a little out of tune
Yo’ momma...
Andrew you don't know how every syllable played in tabla effects the pitch
