@@sanafizasana4351 It's because Javi was born in 1991. He was 26 in 2018 Pyeongchang. Male figure skating has a longer lifespan than female figure skating, but its heyday is in its early 20s. Around 26 years old, people usually consider retirement. Especially, he won 14th place in 2010 Vancouver Olympics, 4th place in 2014 Sochi Olympics, and bronze medal in 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. Realistically, it is hard to expect a medal at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, so it is natural for him to retire after winning two consecutive world titles, seven straight European championships, and two silver medals at the Grand Prix Final.

Regardless of what is truly happening between them (that's their privacy), clearly they see each other as more than friends. It's not hard to see it from the way Javi always (and I mean ALWAYS) want to touch and embrace Yuzuru. He cannot fake that emotion because that is just not possible. The care is real.

Javier and Yuzuru have a beautiful and magical history which took place for almost 10 years, from the beginning until the end, it's very rare to find something like this in figure skating, they were rivals, training partners, friends, incredibly supportive, respectful and sweet to each other, and kept close in all championships, standing almost always on the winning podium together. Brian Orser and his team, their coach, one of the best skating coaches in the world, could tell you a lot of about them. There should be movies about them tbh.

@@canyoubelieve2167 basically implied that yuzu used the ice hole in the oly sp as an excuse for the pop. At bare minimum, he added fuel for the anti-yuzus despite knowing better. At worst, he called yuzu a liar and questioned yuzus integrity and honesty

@@lucianaesquivelgauto2487 lo que pasa es que javier en 2017 se retiró, dejando de participar en los juegos olimpicos, supongo que los años ya no le favorecian, y eso significaba dejar de entrenar con yuzuru y shoma 😭😭 creeme que el cariño que se tenian era unico, se enfrentaban en la pista pero eso no afectaba su amista. aparte todas las entrevistas, yuzuru llorando :(( fueron tiempos bonitos
