Heimburg said something that helped me tremendously... aim for the band. I've made more putts the last few months using that than any other tip, I stopped missing low or short and dedicating that distance better.
Very good tips. I began with copying Simon's putting form and made it work for myself. I think watching pros is a good starting point for finding your style.
Another good tip that really helped me is to always take your time. Sure, you might get a little shit for taking a while on a 5 foot putt, but I can guarantee you will get a lot more shit for air-balling a 5 footer because you didn’t take your time. And, at the end of the day, who cares if other people are slightly annoyed if you take a bit of time, as long as it is reasonable. Just take a deep breath, do your practice swings, and try to only focus on the putt, not the other people around you.
Good Tips. Robbie really enjoying your content on disc golf. As beginner very helpful. plus you make laugh with some of your jokes and sound effects. Keep up great work!
It's that focus. As an experiment, find a tree about 6 inches wide or that shovel handle Robbie mentions. Just toss discs at it from different distances and see what happens. When you have a solid lock-on with your vision and can perceive the real depth, it's almost automatic that you can deliver a thrown object to that same spot. When you see something as wide and deep as an entire basket, your perception doesn't lock on the same way and without muscle memory to take over, it's very hard to be precise or consistent.
I'm new to disc golf (approx. 4 months now) and these videos are a great help! Also... I am a huge Calvin fan and started imitating him on the putting green and on the course. Now I'm most comfortable putting with a form similar to his, but I definitely have changed small tid bits from his to make it feel more comfortable. Even if I change things up I still like to imitate him because it brings me real confidence. I might miss, so might he, I've watched all the footage of him I could find, and I've seen him hit his fair share of trees himself, so I can make the same mistakes sometimes too. Oh right, I mean, great video, had a fan boy moment. Keep up the vids!
@@kcphotographystudios8836 Fan grip isn't really the right term for what you should be doing. Index on the outside of the rim, pinkie on the inside of the rim, the rest on the flightplate. Don't grip it too hard and no matter what you do, make sure that your stroke is dead straight towards the basket from the beginning to end. Square your shoulders and take it slow. A lot of times you see people start their putt stroke from their left hip and they wonder why they miss right.
@@leksasdf I actually putt best when I remember to start from my left hip. It's part of my routine. Everyone has to find their own way. I got one of the Innova portable baskets and 10 putters. 150 putts every other day. The more you do it, gradually certain things start feeling natural and accurate. I used to be big on playing tennis and I remember Roger Federer saying that he practices his serve every day, even during vacation because it's easy to loose it. I think putting is like that.
Could you do a jump putt video? I know your focus is on players laying up from distance. But just the mechanics behind a 35’ putt and the motion and form of a jump putt.
Drive for show. Putt for dough.
Great vid. Thanks R!!

that shovel tip is great!
These are actually really great tips. They go beyond the surface elements of putting but are still clear and make a lot of sense. Thanks for the help!

As a beginner I love all the help I can get! THANKS!
These are my absolute favorite tips . Thanks Robbie

Great advice on mistake #4. Ever be too proud to lay it up and tap it in.
Good stuff man! Not a beginner but still took something away from this. Thanks!
Thanks, Robbie! Also, I love Five Tribes! (Video background) That's one of my favorite games!
Nice! I just started playing and I love your videos. Also, I like to try to see what games you have on the shelf. Great content, please continue.
Hahaha, I try to shift them around some times to show what other games are there!

I love the tips! Ty for making this.
Anyone else distracted by the white electrical outlet, with the almond cover?

Calvin is a stud, and honored to find someone else trying to replicate and learn from his style!!
Great tips! I didn’t have a practice basket for a while so I put a piece of pvc pipe in the ground and I would try to hit it with my putters.
Love ur content on this. All Your video have help me. Keep at it!
Awesome video and really love your channel! Thanks for the great content and good sense of humor!
I think this is the 5 or 6 th video of yours I’ve watched today. Do I need an intervention or something.
Great tips!
1:37 I felt that in my soul
Great video and tips. I can’t throw my putter straight past 15 ft for the life of me!
H K Thanks, I actually do that but maybe I should experiment with a new one.

I just started watching your channel and can't wait to put these tips into practice. Thanks for all the help.
That's my biggest weakness.....that's a good idea about using a shovel, and aiming at the handle.
I used to use a road cone and a piece of pvc pipe but since I have a basket I just put rope around chains to shrink up target.
Another tip for beginners is stick to one putter don’t bag a Luna, a deputy then a aviar because that won’t help out I promise I’ve done it lol
I am completely broken because I try to ‘use my legs’ and literally feel nothing from it other than I’m standing on them.
One day I woke up and was twice as good at putting as before. It can happen.
Now if I could only afford a shovel...
