Finally had a chance to catch up with the last few cruise videos and delighted to see this one from the Oxford area. I have family in Oxford and also lived in a nearby town in the 1980s but even so, you took me to a few new places and I still learned new things! The Hitler tale for one. We love the way the big country houses get decorated for Christmas and have visited a few. We’ve been to Blenheim in Summer but I think a Christmas visit is overdue. Another lovely video thank you 😁 For any UK visitors reading this comment other recommendations for Christmas are Holkham Hall in Norfolk & Chatsworth House in Derbyshire
We’re so glad our video could bring back those memories for you and show them in a different light. They’re the kind of places you can visit again and again and always find something new to love! 😊🏰✨
love this area and appreciate your efforts, but would highly recommend that you learn the proper pronunciations of the locations/attractions you visit.
Thank you for your feedback-it’s much appreciated! At our age (late 60s), learning new things isn’t as easy as it once was, and some of the village names were definitely a bit tricky for us. We’ve focused our efforts on diving into the stories, capturing the essence of the places we visit, and creating good-quality videos to remember the experiences. These aren’t polished TV broadcasts but personal videos that we share with friends like you. We hope the heart and effort we put into them shine through, even if we don’t get every pronunciation perfect. Thank you for joining us on this journey! 😊
@ it is well done but for that, and i appreciate your thoughts. i’m 59 and would research pronunciations before doing my voiceover, but maybe that’s just me. have fun on your continued travels!
What makes the world so unique, and every video of the same place different, is how each of us chooses to experience and remember it. We started making these videos after retirement, and for two “old farts,” we’re pretty proud of what we’ve accomplished so far. 😊 That said, you’re absolutely right-there’s always room for improvement, including working on pronunciations. It’s all part of the learning process, and we’re grateful for thoughtful input like yours. Here’s to continuing to grow and enjoy the journey-thanks for coming along with us!
Beautiful!
Love and University town! Oxford is the ultimate. Thanks for the visit from Atlanta 🎉
Wow!! Oxford is absolutely beautiful. The guide was interesting. Great video, I thoroughly enjoyed it 😊
Some of the stories we came across were absolutely fascinating; the whole area feels like one big living storybook.
@ it definitely does. It’s magical.

Thank you for sharing.
We just spent a few hours here on a tour in September. An amazing historic university.
Glad you had the chance to experience it-it’s a place that stays with you long after you’ve left! 😊
We were in Oxford and Blenheim Palace last year in late September. Loved it there. Loved seeing them again at a different time of the year.
