Surrounded by water, Zhouzhuang Ancient Town was formed by rivers, streets were built along the water, and markets were set up on the streets. The main attractions include Fu'an Bridge, Double Bridge, Shen Hall, etc. The cross-shaped riverways have well-preserved 14 ancient stone bridges built in the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Over 800 indigenous residents live by the river, and over 60% of the residential buildings still maintain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Visitors can take a boat to tour the ancient town and admire the ancient buildings and beautiful natural scenery on both sides of the river.
