This was essentially the song that drew me into DGD, I'll never forget it. There are very few songs that I instantly fall in love with, and this was one of them, but I didn't yet know the entire new realm I was stepping into. At the time of discovering this band, I was feeling so much pain in my life from low self esteem, anxiety, and such, but this band's sound helped me get through it. DGD has such a whimsical melody of funk, groove, and soul that puts them in so many genres other than just post hardcore. The band's weird lyrics and fast paced sound gave me a musical "high" that would get me through downy days, and I indebted to them; they helped me keep my sanity intact, and helped me not care about the pains of life as much. Dance Gavin Dance is my favorite band, and I love every one of their songs. I know there is a stigma of post-hardcore with some people, but DGD transcends labels.
