The dynojet didnt even do anything to your bike yet. They come with a stock tune for whatever bike your putting it on. The tunes probably slightly different thats why you can feel the difference but try that yoshi tune or contact them directly and they can make you a custom tune for your needs. Or take it to a real dynojet tuner.
I realized I do the exact same thing, I call it the Calculator Clear Button Reassurance Effect, basically its just in some people's human nature to ensure that what they are selecting actually happens, its redundancy
I'm not a big fan of those tuners cause they just trick the system to add more fuel. The vertex ecu is easier to install and it just replaces the stock ecu. They're months out though. When I get my 450l I'm getting a vertex.
Just ordered full FMF powercore 4 with vortex from CRF's Only. I'm so freaking pumped. I've been stunting the bike with stock everything and it's sooooooo sketchy hahah
When you got someone on a tube, you do a double up or even a triple up. You gas it a little and turn around and go through your own wake, which will double in size. A huge ramp of water pops up in front of them and sends them flying. The double up is beautiful if done right.
You can also turn the choke wheel thingy COUNTER clockwise and it will turn your idle up and wont stall anymore, turn it clockwise and it stalls it out. Didn't know if you knew that or not
More air means leaner mixture so.pretty sure tuner did richen it but you might of made it lean again by leaving filter cover off. Really not sure if it makes a difference or not though. But makes sense that it would suck more fuel if cover was on. Like putting your hand over a vacuum
The engine will only take in so much air regardless, without forced induction. So I don't think it made much of a difference. But I'm not an engineer either so I could be wrong 😅.
If you put your air box lid on it will probably stop backfiring it sounds lean my recommendation is to put it back on or Tune it richer to get full power

its crazy how just a power commander can make all the difference. without a tune even in it just letting it run and trick the closed loop system to fix the afr's. my 450 used to stall constantly and almost made me get rid of a brand new bike because of how frustrating it was just to start and ride in traffic. i feel like they needed to pull this bike and fix alot after the first sales found so many issues.

And how's the power commander? there's been people in forums saying they went from the pc5 to vortex and it was much better. im just trying to price everything out beforehand
Just something I wouldn't do tab the end of the gas nozzle to your tank I have seen fires in ways you couldn't believe the biggest one was throwing a bunch of 9 volt batteries together in a box for storage and they start a fire you always have to tape the ends of those LOL
Stock ecu is shutting off injector pulse on decel, piggyback tuner will help somewhat. Get yourself a vortex ecu, it changes everything and takes 5 minutes to install
Yeah, it's essentially a de-tuned 450R motor with longer gear ratios and a LITTLE bit lower compression ratio. Still need to do the valve adjustment etc as you would a race bike.

I just picked up a 2022 450X... I'm interested in this tuner you put installed.... I only have 5 miles on my bike but I can tell it's got the "flame-out" issue with stalling, and the "lean" characteristics on start up.... did you ever get it all dialed in and running good?

Paul Hardy, i have one with 150 mi on it. I ride the best when in the woods, top speed not needed. This 450L has been so far, the nicest bike ive ever owned. And it rips on the street with the stock rubber if you dont get too crazy. Its got an rpm limiter in 6 gear, but ive never got there
Best to get “auto-tune” or have it tuned on a dyno with the outside air temp at the average for your location. Auto-tune is awesome.

Power commander comes with map for a stock bike. Need to get the right map for the full yoshimura. Cant use Mac for dynojet either. Has to be Windows

Try a re chipped ecu aswell, you can get them tuned for any aftermarket power parts and bump up the rev limiter a bit aswell

the best thing you can do imo with something like that is get it to someone with a bike dyno and have a custom tune done specifically for your bike
