Nice to see you using the guard with the zip cut blade Ross. That’s pretty well balanced picking it there. I was worried the back was much heavier. Nicely done Ross. I may just copy your exact plan for my set up. I like Ayden’s idea of welding the nut on the inside! Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Ya the guard stays on and so do my fingers 😁 I'm very happy with the placement, I was lucky as I just guessed. Ya I think we will weld the nuts on. We'll see how it goes this weekend as we do the maintenance, and painting. Have a good weekend.
The lifting eyes look good, it seems that it is never easy to cut a big hole. Welding the nuts on is a great idea. We have lots of tools for cutting metal but we always seem to end up with a cutting disk in the angle grinder
I always love your videos where you’re making something or restoring something. Just a whole lot of fun to be had. Any chance you’re coming down to the farm and machinery show in February?
Nice job. You got lucky with finding a balance point for the lift.you might also use those short chokers Ed showed us, and startle the chute with the forks.
They work great. Nice work Ross. I got a Plasma Cutter not to long ago and man it makes cutting out stuff like that so much easier! Switching my shop to Winter mode tomorrow. Plows out and ready to go. Firewood tote in. Have a good weekend.
Hey! Quiet! Don't be talking about Plasma Cutters! Aidan wants one really bad. You keep talking like that and he reads this, he might go get one! (Hey Aidan.. go get yourself a Plasma Cutter! 😁) Thanks Bob! We are happy with them for sure. We need this weekend to switch things over, and we'll be ready. I'll clean up the blower and put it on the BX. Have a super great weekend. 👍
Did I hear something about a plasma cutter 👀😂 Congrats on picking one up Bob - which one did you go with? You’re right it would be perfect for jobs like this. 👍🏼
G'day Ross: I used lift straps for my blower unit. They work great and do not scratch the paint. I use the forks also. Good idea for the chain hook. That way you can go right through the eye. Maybe a smaller chain so that you do not have to raise the forks so high. Today I intend to move old firewood to the stump dump and use the leaf blower to blow the leaves out of the drainage trench on the driveway. Soooo much to do. Take care and stay safe. From the other end of the Valley. "Ice is on the pond now!"
Hello, ya I want to get straps. Especially after this weekend as I'm going to do the blower maintenance and painting of it. I need to get some leaves blown around as well. Have a great weekend.
Good morning Ross, Nice job on the lifting eyes. You have me thinking about ways I can use that idea for some of our equipment. Hello to Aidan. Have a great weekend, Ben 👋😎👍☕️❄️
Hi Ben, ya same with me. I was all in on dolleys, but now I'm rethinking and maybe using lift eyes on other things as well. Cheers and have a good weekend.
Nice job on making the lifting brackets. 👍🏻 great way to move the blower around. Nice looking Jeep in the background. Adain’s idea to weld the nuts in place is a great idea. Have a good day fellas. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Good day Ross and Family! Nice mod bud. I like your bandsaw setup, that's pretty sweet. No snow left here, none in forecast for 7 days yet! Have a great weekend!👍😊🍻
Thank you Ed, yes I'll probably never take them off, but.. if in the future they do bend, and I make new ones I think would be the only time they'd come off.
I mounted two chain grab hooks on my snow blower as soon as I received it; always good to have, especially when storage time roll 'round. ( I'll be back later to finish watching this video )
Good Evening Sir Ross 👌👍😇 Ho Boy, these ducks when near your garage 😮 Very Nice Steel Lifting Eyes 😇👌👍Be Well Cheers 🍻🍻
Thank you David. I'm very happy with them. Have a great evening.

Haha. So true! Always the basics eh? Ya I think we'll weld them. Thanks Joseph. Have a great weekend.

Thank you, we do enjoy it as well. Where is that show? It'll be hard to travel at this time, but it's good to keep them in mind.

Same place as the Equip Expo?

Thanks David. I sure did eh! That was complete guess work. But I'm very happy with how it turned out. Have a good weekend
Looks good. 👍
Don’t forget safety glasses! 👀
Always a good reminder! Thanks.
That’s what I’m saying - I keep telling him too!
Good morning Ross
It is Gary! And a good morning to you.

See! Now look what we did! 😁 Lol.
@@AidanMacRae Aidan I went with a Lotus LTP5000. 50 amp Pilot Arc. Cheaper one to see if I like it but am real happy with it. Cuts nice.

Have a good day fellas. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Thank you Noel, I think we'll tackle this stuff this weekend. Cheers.
Great idea! Like using a piece of steel plate that had holes already drilled! Content, video & editing continues to keep getting better!
I'm glad we keep old pieces laying around! And yes very happy the other holes were already there. I appreciate the encouragement and support!
Good day Ross and Family! Nice mod bud. I like your bandsaw setup, that's pretty sweet. No snow left here, none in forecast for 7 days yet! Have a great weekend!👍😊🍻
Thank you Mark. No snow here and a beautiful day so far. Thanks
Brilliant! Really nice none. Smart idea to tack the nuts - although you’ll probably just leave them on all the time anyway, right?
Thank you Ed, yes I'll probably never take them off, but.. if in the future they do bend, and I make new ones I think would be the only time they'd come off.
Nice brackets! I’m jealous. I really have a hard time drilling anything to my equipment. It’s like NOOOO! 😂.
I used to think that, then I decided the extra effort to try moving it around wasn't worth it and 4 small holes are acceptable to me.
Nice. Actually looks like a good balance.
I was pleasantly surprised 😆 thanks and have a good weekend. Stickers are in the mail!

Thank you Reg! Have a great day and weekend
Nice job Ross!. Very slick.
Thank you! Spent today doing a teardown maintenance, painting and rebuilding.
