This worked thank you!! My password keeps not working and the only recommendation I can find is a hard factory reset. Already done that once and lost a lot of data. Don't want to go there again! 2nd time this had happened in two weeks though since the latest update. Must be a bug 🤦‍♂️

I just set a temp password of 1234 on a broken phone, used a keyboard to set it and i even viewed some saved chrome passwords and i typed on the screen & keyboard 1234 & it accepted it. I visually saw the phone register 1234. 4 days the phone died and i charged it used a keyboard like i normally did and with an hdmi mirror casting onto my display & the phone no longer recognizes the password. I took a hammer & smashed the phone into pieces & then sent it to my phone insurance company since they already charged me a deductible on my other replacement device
