Fighting games feel like the worst kind of game to play if you're not willing to take a loss. I understand that the genre inherently attracts players with big egos but you'd think egos of that size would have room for a little humility.

Facts. It's understandable to be frustrated when you lose but like... Plugging because you lost is just childish. Fighting games are about growth and improvement. That's what we're all here for. Just wanting to play to get wins, all to boost your ego, isn't exactly what fighting games are about in my view.

Do people actually lag switch? I've had some matches that got unplayable lag, but only started when I was up 2 rounds and mid combo. Assumed it was random internet just at a bad time.

They do, just not as often as cheating or plugging because the lag is not really enjoyable on their end either. But for the miserable few who only care about wins/points, there's that

I had a match that took 15-20mins because he was so pissed at losing LOL. When he was about to die he turned on his lag switch that turned the game into a power point slideshow😂
