Apart from this plain 1976 promo clip (that now is a familiar classic) there's a fantastic live version from their filmed 1977 Australian tour. It's the ultimate live version featuring a full orchestra with violins and a maestro directing it and ABBA look stunning in their iconic satin outfits and boots. And all this in front of an EXPLOSIVE audience!
Magnificent song👌! An absolute classic! Great react, ladies. Someday please try 'Tropical Loveland' (a hidden gem, to me). Take care, Sue! ... and Chelsea! Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗😘👍
@alejandrosantanaborquez917 Hi Alejandro, thanks so much. You are right. This is an absolute classic. One of the most recognized songs of all time. Take care and chat soon 🥰💕
▪As an indication of how much I love ABBA's music, I made a rough list of my top 20 favourite ABBA songs a while back .. and "Dancing Queen" was NOT on it .. And yet, I really like it .. It is wonderfully constructed, arranged, and performed .. Maybe because it is probably their most played song, the high exposure worked against it when doing my rankings .. But a great song !
@wayne_twentyfive Hey Wayne, I definitely think that it is their most played song as well. You are so right. For a song that didn't even make your top 20 and you still really like it does show how great Abba is 😊💕
Hi Sue! Seeing you both singing to this classic was wonderful because I was singing along too! Thank you for today's reaction. The song I would highly recommend is "Dance (While The Music Still Goes On)". I won't say anything more because I don't want to spoil the surprise. Take care!
Have not watched in a while so have a lot of catching up to do😊 Could not miss you and your mum enjoying this classic. Great to see you both enjoying it. Nothing to say about the song - I think everything has been said.
Hi Sue and Chelsea. This is my favourite ABBA song. They were huge here in Australia. I remember when ‘Mamma Mia’ was released in 1975. My cousin Michelle and I used to pretend to be Agnetha and Frida and we’d sing and dance along to the song. We were around 10 y/o at the time. I had every ABBA album released in Australia. I have been to many ABBA tribute shows over the years and they’ve always been so much fun. Great reaction, ladies. Enjoy your weekend! ❤️🇦🇺
@JudeAussie Hi Judy, I love that you imitated A and F. They are too amazing for words. I am so glad we got to your favourite. It is a gem and I think it is a lot of people's favourite. It is an eternal classic 🥰💗
Kylie Minogue has confessed in a late '80s interview that she and her sister were pretending to be the Abba girls back in the '70s while growinhg up DownUnder. They were singing and dancing using their hairbrushes instead of mics
An ABBA quizz question: What is the connection between their name and the part of London called "Canning Town"? Answer: ABBA is also the name of a Swedish fish processing company.
#ABBASueLoutly fantastic pick for today This was Abba’s only number 1 in the US Queen Elizabeth would have been 50 when this came out so if beleve the story ruclips.net/user/shorts_YK0rWCvEfc?si=Vlbwuq6NgyREgvw8
Love ABBA, so many great songs with great melodies. ABBA, yes # ABBAsolutely
@JeromeDukes Yes, ABBAsolutely agree Jason 💙
Those subtle, high pitch, backning tracks at 5:38-5:45 in your reaction video gives me goose bumps.
