While I love the graphics and the nostalgia as I've completed every metal slug game, I hate the fact they gave normal soldiers health bars and they don't die with one shot, completely shatters the experience for me
Maybe this is the medium or high difficulty settings?
i like how your unlimited Flame shot deal little damage when you pick F. you F enemy with real damage. also give your self HP bar. it's win to win for kids who suck at dodge

Knife supposed to be instant kill, that shot ain't satisfying no more.
I know they made the graphic modern and enemies has health bar but you can't ignore those smooth sprites and handdrawn enemies and backgrounds.
The pixel art is way better but I can't say that this 3d is bad. I've seen A LOT of bad generic 3d adaptations, this one it's actually good.
The problem is that the texture and the 3d itself are too much smooth, I don't think it fits the game. And by the way, this is hand painted 3d texture.
Look at the difference between the tank in 6:46 and 6:48. The texture in the first one has rough details, the second one is smooth.

Graphics are good but here is a few problems:
-When u use the flame shot, they will not die in flames.
-Health bars on enemy soldiers are cancerous af, but i wouldnt mind if those health bars are applied on enemy vehicles, bosses and on slug tanks
-This game is made by a company partly owned by tencent.
-There is no gore in this game
So yeah, its a 1/10 to me.
This is the most accurate remake of metalslug. So what if made by tencent? It looks great. YOU STHUPID

Me too. Metal slug's identity is that all morden's soldiers die for one shot. Even larger enemies never have health bars.
In some of the metal slugs it actually did take a few shots for the soldiers I can’t remember which though
@@seasons1745 probably 4 or 5's, and those were justified. those were supposed genetically enhanged super soldiers or something like that. Other than them, I don't remember such thing as resistant human soldiers

the action feels a lot slower compared to the original. What happened to the chaotic run-and-gun game that we are familiar with?

the originals were great, but code j is designed for mobile, it pretty enjoyable imo

Nice vid. Looks like a phone only rework with a ton of extra hand-holding/micro-transaction based crud tacked on, all while stripping a ton away from the game.
Interesting. They use ms6's main theme instead of the original one. Not that I'm complaining, ms6's soundtrack is my favorite.

This series did not need a remake nor was it asked for.
Damage value means you can Upgrade, Upgrade means it will cost money. If there pvp option then it pay to win, then gacha, Mobile game typically. Just make it casual paid game.

I’m a little confused by this game. It’s not 100% a remake. I thought it was a 2 remake at first, but the trailers show a lot of levels and bosses that weren’t in the original games. For instance, there’s this Sphinx-like boss at one point
A Fan of SLUG: Graphics so cool and keep the cute like console version.
Hay detalles buenos en el juego pero la mayoria son graficos y aun asi no tienen algunos como los metal clasicos
Pero lo que mas molesta ee que el juego se ve demaciado facil con ataques lentos, si toman a comparacion el metal slug 4 (a mi opinion el metal slug clasico mas facil) se ve un cambio demaciado grande en la dificultad, ademas de que las armas ahora don infinitas y no estan los prisioneros

Me sigue pareciendo soso el hecho de que no mueran de un solo disparo, en algunos momentos los escenarios tienen un toque especial pero. O llegan a la calidad de los gráficos de los originales, y la barra de vidas le quita ese gran detalle del árcade
En lo visual se ve hermoso pero el hecho de hacerlo tan pausado le quita lo divertido.

Not only upgrading the Texture, they also make mission complete animations such as connecting from mission 1 to mission 2

The Morden plane on stage 2 is way too small, wth?? This looks awesome but at the same time, there are some lame changes, like where tf is all the gore and blood?? When i saw the flamegun i was so disappointed with the animation, the soldiers should be engulfed in flames. idk what to think tbh
I was amazed that I'd never heard of this remake before, given that it looks pretty good graphics-wise.
Now that I've seen the gameplay, I'm no longer amazed or even surprised.

The fact that the Rebel Army soldiers have a healthbar, it kills the flow of what was already a great video game...
...i don’t hate it, I just wish that it adhered to the classic formula where it had flow. These pauses to attack opponent hordes is not Metal Slug to me.
Sure, the graphics are better; but it can never match the charm of the original Metal Slug games on the Neo Geo. The original hand-drawn aesthetic to me will never be outmatched. I was expecting something similar to the Wonderboy III aesthetic with it being hand-drawn-almost cel animated.

I prefer the original Metal Slug proposal: Run And Gun (And a little bit of Bullet Hell). Plus they removed the blood and gore, I didn't like it. Anyway, just my opinion.

Odd I don't remember checkpoints or rest spot in the original why does that even exist. Even the 2nd boss defeat where the general was rescue by a plane was ruined and even more and weapon the character pick up is infinite usable instead being limited ammo.

The only thing im not super big on (this is me being picky) is the death noises for the rebels, but I can deal with it (while the old are nostalgic, I would have been fine with the ms6/7 sound effects to keep it new), I'm just glad we are getting another metal slug game.

The new Graphics completely ruined the image I had of Metal Slug Games since childhood. The metal Slug were old But the pixel graphics that still great to this day and the fast passed action was very I hope that Old Metal Slug Style comes back again with new missions and mechanics.
