@Cagatay as an American, your acting got me into Turkish shows - medecezir & icerde. I think icerde is one of the best from any American and international series I’ve ever seen! And the way you portrayed Sarp and exuded the confidence and played his personality beyond what I think the screenwriters could’ve dreamt up was incredible!! @Aras I would say Cukur is next up there, have only been intensely annoyed by some of Gokhan’s script but your acting in Cukur is above and beyond pulling heartstrings and so authentic and beyond awesome, I’ve never seen anything like your incredible acting you accomplish in this series - from such real raw emotion whether pain or sadness to switching to Mr confident and pulling pranks (really funny too) on the worst mafia heads ever...and as the brilliant strategist mafia guy...love how you manage to swing all the facets of Yamac’s personality and have it all seem beyond authentic, and emotions so raw and real. -- After watching both of you guys I haven’t been able to go back to watching any American TV series, what you both portray is so much more real, real tear-jerking and cracking up laughing and everything in between that now everything else of American TV seems so fake in comparison! Super incredible talent - both of you! I hope you both get those Hollywood deals you both truly deserve!!

I am obsessed with this series and while both the leading actors were incredible (as was the entire cast), I was absolutely floored by Aras' depiction of a man who underwent severe childhood trauma. I've never seen such a realistic and nuanced depiction of a character fighting and surviving through trauma. His eyes, facial expressions and demeanor were so on point. I am glad that he mentioned in this interview that the character of Mert needed a self deprecating humor as a coping mechanism to overcome his trauma. It's something I had instantly noticed in the character and found very interesting and relatable. His attempt to hide his pain with the 'I don't give a damn' self deprecating laugh was so emotionally realistic. It's like he successfully grasped the tiny nuances of the effects of trauma and abuse. What a phenomenal actor!
And there you go, Cagaty opened that door to an international world with The Protector. I have such a respect for both of them. This series is so powerful and you can literally see through the screen how much desire and will they put into their characters in Icerde, and remained constant until the end.
It's been a while since I truly watched a show that can capture my heart and my whole atation this much men since I started watchined a month a go on RUclips I couldn't watch any other show I used to be interested in ....I couldn't leave my house till was done with it omg I loved loved it was actually so so sad when it ended love u both

I love them. I love this show with two of my favourite Turkish actors. I love this type of interview, more dynamic. Aras seems more comfortable, and Cagatay is more shy. It shows that he doesn't like interviews too much, but even so I saw him more comfortable than other times.

Strange but It feels like Cagatay was perfect for Sarp and Aras for Umut. They were so well fitted and it also fits in when we see Aras is a younger sibling and has that funny restless whereas Cagatay being an elder sibling has that Sarp-type vibe..

Icerde is one of the best series I have ever seen. Both actors were fantastic. This interview was incredibly gorgeous, we have learnt a lot of things that concern both of them. I have already watched this interview in the Turkish language because I understand everything although I'm Greek. I watch all the Turkish serials every night at 8 o'clock p.m through Satellite, I'm very happy because I do like Turkish serials. Thanks for the interview, it was fantastic.

I was really disappointed to see sex on the first date though. I'm sure it happens even in Turkey but that is not a Turkish plot line. That's an American or Western plot line. Please! Do what Turkish Films do so well! Please don't become like us to be marketable to us! If I had a a carpet company and went international and went to Turkey with Turkish designs so that they would appeal to Turkish people, I would be a fool!!!! Also the story line of the BAD ASS woman is everywhere in American films, but I haven't seen it in other Turkish films. Things that will not be accepted here (except as a peak into another culture) is the extent that families dominate their kids and histrionic women. What Turkish films do really well is RELATIONSHIPS and that DELICIOUS TENSION of the YEARNING for the beloved. The other thing is MEN WHO CAN EXPRESS FEELINGS! Wow! You guys are light- years more evolved than American men. This is something that would be very very interesting here! For men to show their feelings but not be less masculine. What a concept! American boys are taught not to cry from a very young age. Many men can not express themselves emotionally even when they want to! We have things to learn from your rich, ancient culture. I felt sorry that one of the first times communicating with the Turkish film industry there was feedback that wasn't over the moon positive which is how I have felt about most of what I have seen. It's just so refreshing for an an American viewer to see the focus on the development of human relationships rather than the easing of animal instincts. I would love to talk with Turkish people about this and NOT those who are super conservative. I also think that the pace was too fast to develop the story line fully. I know we have the reputation for short attention spans though! : )

Icerde is the best series i have watched all out of all the movies all around the world. The actors are amazing and so is the plot twists were insane. I watched it multiple times and still crying over the sad scenes. I was actually waiting for Melek and Sarp's baby of how beautiful it will be since the mom and dad were both beautiful but turned out, unfortunately it never happened. I want Season 2 pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

If I had a a carpet company and went international and went to Turkey with Turkish designs so that they would appeal to Turkish people, I would be a fool!!!! Also the story line of the BAD ASS woman is everywhere in American films, but I haven't seen it in other Turkish films. Things that will not be accepted here (except as a peak into another culture) is the extent that families dominate their kids and histrionic women. What Turkish films do really well is RELATIONSHIPS and that DELICIOUS TENSION of the YEARNING for the beloved. The other thing is MEN WHO CAN EXPRESS FEELINGS! Wow! You guys are light- years more evolved than American men. This is something that would be very very interesting here! For men to show their feelings but not be less masculine. What a concept! American boys are taught not to cry from a very young age. Many men can not express themselves emotionally even when they want to! We have things to learn from your rich, ancient culture. Give us Turkish films!

@@CagatayUlusoyNorthAmerica Thank you for those links! I really appreciate that. I felt sorry that one of the first times communicating with the Turkish film industry there was feedback that wasn't over the moon positive which is how I have felt about most of what I have seen. It's just so refreshing for an an American viewer to see the focus on the development of human relationships rather than the easing of animal instincts. I would love to talk with Turkish people about this and NOT those who are super conservative.
I also think that the pace was too fast to develop the story line fully. I know we have the reputation for short attention spans though! : )

Icerde is the best series i have watched all out of all the movies all around the world. The actors are amazing and so is the plot twists were insane. I watched it multiple times and still crying over the sad scenes. I was actually waiting for Melek and Sarp's baby of how beautiful it will be since the mom and dad were both beautiful but turned out, unfortunately it never happened. I want Season 2 pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Icerde la serie delle serie quella che entra nel cuore e non esce più Cagatay e Aras due attori che hanno fatto boom 💥 con questa serie e non comprendo perché non li fanno lavorare ancora insieme.
