@@joshua-ty2lu having looked into both myself the r3 active is the update to the r3 mini. Based just on specs the main differences between this and the c3 are:
Size (c3 is larger and therefore heavier than r3 active but can apply more force and be more stable)
Speed modes (r3 active has 5 preset speeds only)
Controls (single button operation on the r3 active similar to a hypervolt style of operation but less likely to be accidentally knocked when in operation)
Display (r3 active just has led's for indication of speed modes, no numerical display such as c3 and many others like it)
Battery (r3 active has 2500mAh capacity but only runs at 16.8v vs c3 2000mAh at 22v c3 is quoted as having longer run time)
Weight difference about 250g or 1/2lb
Price (c3 is currently cheaper to buy than the r3 active by about £20 uk price but is an older design that has had some cost saving tweaks over the years)
It all depends on how you intend to use it and what you want/ need out of it. Both seem like reasonable products for the price and generally review largely favourably. However most of the negative reviews out there are about products dying prematurely, which either means dodgy quality control or people who aren't using them correctly.
For me i have found a new(other) c3 for around £40 which I'm going give a go, as it's my first massage gun to own and see how i get on with it.
