Respekt.
a brief from a curious observer: In the clip the reporter starts off talking about the 15 yr old Waldners merits in the game such as beating all Swedish pro-players except for one, winning 2 european championship last summer(dont know if its jr/sr tournaments) and 6 months earlier he got as the first foreigner ever the opportunity to train in China. And the reporter adds that it seems now that Waldner doesnt seem afraid to face any challanger in the world eventhough he is only 15 yrs old.
Lol!!! Jan-Ove Waldner 15 years old and playing for Sparvagen - Stockholm, and maybe he is our next big star in Table tennis....mm hmm what can we say about that 20 years later =). Cool clip
When asking what he learned while training in China, Waldner answers serving and the return of serves and quickness at the table. In another discussion the reporter talks about when he saw young Waldner playing when 10-11yrs old he noticed he would take his losses really hard and run away sad and cry , so he asks how he would react now if he lost. Waldner says it wont be a big deal, but he will get angry and then later he will try to figure out what went wrong.
Lastly the reporter responds to Walders answer with how he noticed when playing against Waldner that he seemed to be just in the perfect height to hit the ball and ask Waldner if he thinks this is something that is being crucial for him when he hits and receives the hits, that he always stands in the right position when receiving the ball. He answers that he doesnt know..."perhaps". but that he is always trying to make sure he is in the right position with his feets. - END
The reporter then asks what Waldner thinks made him such a good player and with so quick progress and what he has that most others lacks. Walder answers "i dont know, good serves perhaps...and i have a pretty decent "ball brain" or "ball talent" / "ball feeling"(a swedish expression that usually will be used to describe when someone is good at sports where a ball/s, big or small is involved in some way or another.. doesnt sound that good in english : )
yeah probably just to impress the public who dont know much about tabletennis and are impressed by it. I bet he could do ALOT more than this if he wanted to lol.
(themut3dpker) ah yeah he's not that good is he ? "He is known as "the Mozart of table tennis" and is a legend in both his native Sweden as well as in China." (copied from wiki) you should probably do your research before commenting ..

where did u get this? do u have any other interviews with waldner? tx for the upload
Älskar att tränare missar alla bollar i början, JO sätter alla
Hes just rallying, any player over 1400 would be able to notice hes really good

Actually, I think he's doing mental training in the video. His coach is hitting in different places to make him concentrate on movement.

Hey, it must be Swedish or Norwegian. Can't you see how it is close to English. And I think, it's very nice language.
15 ar is 15 years old?
yeah

then u should see him play in the worldseries u cant see the ball thats how fast he is
but turned out to be one of the best in the world, doesnt that tell ya something?
yeah probably just to impress the public who dont know much about tabletennis and are impressed by it. I bet he could do ALOT more than this if he wanted to lol.
