I actually played for the same team as Appelgren for 8yrs. I was a junior while he was a senior, remember how he used to give me his Donic rubbers after practice in the lockers once he came in from practice and I was going out for practice. Heard he coaches in Qatar these days. Wise move, probably makes decent money, too. Waldner, Appelgren and Person, 3 great table tennis icons from Sweden. Too bad, the Swedish ping pong supremacy of mid/late 80s are way past its prime

I was in the city at the time. I feel like this was one of those once in a life time opportunities. My friend was bragging because he went.
Apparently there were like two ferrari's parked by the front door because they sponsored the event

@Samlee894 You didn't miss anything. You saved your money. Over priced event, no ceiling so they couldn't do any lobbing... Too dark to play real table tennis at Spin, more of a night club.
