Opie did over 20 years of radio and spent alot of that time on the top of that world. He saw the talent Anthony had he brought in jimmy and made the o&a show what it was. Together they're great but separate they just aren't that good. They all 3 should swallow their pride and set their egos aside and do a podcast ot would get great numbers. Opie was never ment to be funny really he was there to play the straight guy and move the show along and he did his job.

He played an important part on air also of moving the show and bringing up topics to discuss. To pretend he was awful is just silly.
I swear people like you act like scorned lovers. It's been almost a decade and you still come to these to complain. Its weird. Just like anyone after that long you start to get burnt out and it's just not exciting anymore and you could tell opie and anthony were both burnt out and needed something different. This show would never have been as popular without them all together. They're all talented but the magic just isnt there in their solo shows. Anthony became some right wing lunatic jimmy became less and less funny and opie was just burnt out. Sure opie wasnt the funniest person on the show but he was far from awful.
I love that Fez starts out with "You got a lot of explaining to do Backlund."

Jon Kozicz When Dave was producer you would have non-stop bitching from the RonFez.net crowd that Dave was starting to hold Fez back (obviously around the time Fez started clamming up), even Fez started saying it occasionally and I recall there was a period when Dave wasn't allowed on air so Fez could have some space. That didn't work out and when Dave left the situation just got worse. If Dave ever came back Fez would probably just complain about his role in the show

Screw the Opie hate on this clip, even if it's unlistenable, this is one of the very few Fez clips on O&A that we get where Fez doesn't get beaten up. I love this clip, for the energy he has in the beginning there. He's fully invested into the bit, he's at his prime and you can tell, at least in that moment, he's without his anxiety.
He's a real big loss. Even though a big portion of the community that's discovered O&A in the last decade couldn't give a shit about him, anybody who listened back in the day know that Ron & Fez were literally the night-time block of the entire channel, and they had quite a few interactions with the show.
And as much as I hate Opie too, let's hate him on another video. When his day comes, I'll probably make a similar comment.
Let's just give this one to Fezzie. He went through a lot, he gave us good radio, he has his problems, and he will be missed greatly. In his own, small, pissy eyed way, he brought joy to us all and will forever be missed. Thank God he doesn't have to deal with his anxiety anymore.

R&F were pure talent. Their creativity was off the charts. Ant and Jimmy were talented but they didn't have that same spark. Ron and Fez was the best radio show I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
