    Thanks Jack another good video. In the past we talked about pianos, do you still do anything with them? Technology has changed so much in the last 10 years, I'm thinking get rid of the 100 year old player and going digital. I'm in my 60s now digital is so compact any ideas you could share on a good digital player with a good library? I'm sure your done with the old style but it's okay if you don't want to discuss those things. Thanks for sharing you builds with us. I always enjoy your builds.

    You can stiffen them with plywood if you are going really big, you could even make ones that are three layers of ply thick that go over the pipe and bolts go through the plywood to lock it to the pipe. Haven't seen my idea but it'll work, could use them on normal pipe clamps too.

    Nice idea and design. Have to tried it on a typical weighing scale to see how much force it can apply? Just wondering. I am sure there is some deflection as you secure it, so the scale would tell the real story... Thumbs Up!

      depends on the use for sure. but I bet they put out as much as some of the cheap small squeeze clamps. But no way they would put down the force of average C clamp or wood clamp. To much deflection.

    • @dimitar4y
      @dimitar4y 4 года назад

      @@jvmiller1995 Build it yourself, it's barely 15$ in cost brand new, or if you got scrap pipes it's free. Then get your "normal" same size clamp and see which one "deflects" more and which one has this magic power you are all "i am consumer zombie only company products work!!" zombie over..

    • @jvmiller1995
      @jvmiller1995 4 года назад

      @@dimitar4y Maybe you should not assume before you comment. I have several homemade clamps myself As well as homemade belt grinder and scroll saw on my channel and many other homemade tools. I was just pointing out it would have some degree of flex and may not be perfect if you really need to suck something down. So sorry I hurt your little feelings. So I guess that just makes you a zombie troll then?

    Ingenuity! "Unprofessional", so you don't see such high efficiency and high ingenuity solutions in so called "businesses"... even though it's better than commercial "custom" items that are usually high cost and high shite.

  • @markmcconnell8705
    @markmcconnell8705 3 года назад

    Now that, I think...I hope...I better, I can make this from some of the crap laying around.
    And with it, make clamping, those deep clamping needs much easier.
    I give this a two, Fonzie, thumbs up. 👍 + 👍 = 👌
    Also,
    So I got the parts, but realize that drilling the hole for the nut, is going to be probably the hardest part since I don't have a drill press. Drilling holes into pipe at a perfect plumb centered on both sides...it has to line up with that nut and I don't want to remove any more material from the pipe than what is required.
    And,
    Your piece of "All Thread" needs to be long enough for any future changes.
    Last thing,
    It may be cheaper to buy one long pipe and cut it in half rather than purchasing two shorter lengths.
