If the natives didnt view tribes outside themselves as not human they would had a chance to unite to push white men out but they couldnt stop fighting each other this whole natives were hippies trope has got to end there is endless evidence of their bruttality
What your doing is making them non human by saying they are bascially angels. You dehumanize them. You can do this by either making them non human negative (orc) or positve (perfection) which is a crime against them, who are people, who do good and bad deeds
