I don't know all the work you had to do for this video, but the way you explain is great. If you want to continue with these tutorials it will be fantastic.
Hi, thanks for he video. When you right click at 15:27 you get an SB with the + Symbol next to it. When I right click NEW to the SF, it adds an SB (Subsystem) but without the + symbol to allow for multiple channels. I must be doing something wrong. Any suggestions Thanks, Shane
Hi Shane, I had the same issue and have just figured it out. You can find a proper guide in section 4.6 "Subsystems as groups of blocks within a rigid structure" of the SISTEMA cookbook 1. The short of it is: 1. Open the PL tab of your subsystem. 2. Select "Determin PL/PFHD from Category and DCavg...". 3. Open the Category tab. 4. Select the relevant category of your safety subsystem. After following these steps the Expanding icon should now display for your subsystem on the left side
When adding the redundant 700s contractors, you say SISTEMA automatically creates the underlying hierarchy. However when I tried it fails to do so, it doesn’t do anything and has three error messages, saying no category was defined, not all the conditions of PL are meant and for this subsystem an invalid MTTFD value of less than three here is computed
Not entirely clear on what you are saying but it sounds like you would have a second safety function. Parallel would be a second an independent function.
From my experience and trials, this seems to be not correct, because by placing these components in the same SB, I've observed that the SISTEMA tool doesn't add up the respective PFHd values. I usually add different SB for each device in series connection, so I am sure that all PFHd values will be considered into the calculation.
Besides the cookbooks, there are also examples available from the IFA. These examples include thorough explanations of the systems with circuits, and Sistema project files.
Download it from Rockwell's website. It must be saved locally and not on a server. www.rockwellautomation.com/en-us/capabilities/industrial-safety-solutions/safety-automation-builder.html

Thanks for this video, very informative. Would like see more of it. Thanks again!
Thanks for your video. yours were the only one that i could get help in korea for sistema work
Glad to hear that
This is fantastic. Thank you so much! I am now a subscriber.

hello, did you resolve this problem ? if so can you give me so indications please ? thank you
Very good practice Thanks
Is it possible to set up mixed or parallel architectures? I ask, because in this example you used only one structure of serial security functions.
Not entirely clear on what you are saying but it sounds like you would have a second safety function. Parallel would be a second an independent function.
Thanks for your video
Quick question, if you have 2 off Emergency Stops Pushbuttons connected in series do you put them both under the same "SB"?
Sure do.
From my experience and trials, this seems to be not correct, because by placing these components in the same SB, I've observed that the SISTEMA tool doesn't add up the respective PFHd values. I usually add different SB for each device in series connection, so I am sure that all PFHd values will be considered into the calculation.
Hello,
I’m french , sorry for my english.
I don’t have a library , can you make a video explaining how to download one ? Please
So - when will you teach a full course on SISTEMA? :)
Hi, fantastic explanation, thanks, Do you know where is possible to learn more?
Try google SISTEMA cookbooks. They are the manuals but are a fairly difficult read.
Besides the cookbooks, there are also examples available from the IFA. These examples include thorough explanations of the systems with circuits, and Sistema project files.
How to enable SISTEMA XML Interface for import .xml libraries?
I have some question on my safety application. Do you mind I drop an email to ask you?
Sure,

Hello, Thank you for this tuto. I have Sistema V2.0.8 and I can't find the button copy from library??? WHat's the method please?
Just drag the item into the safety function tree. That's all.

The component manufacturer offers them for download. I recently downloaded libraries from Siemens and Schmersal
