Whoa! A pond find 57 that isnt rusted to shards is crazy! Im shocked how well you guys gave it one clean after that many years underwater and it looks that good. As a prior 57 owner myself i commend all the hard work to get it back looking new. Now lets see who takes this comment way to serious thinking i dont know its a model.
In a real scenario, if the car was submerged in water for a long period of time, the suspension, engine, body, anything made of any metal will be completely rusted and you can't just wash off rust. Plus, water ruins electronics, so pretty much anything that uses any type of electricity will be too damaged-things like ignition, any wiring, and accessories such as gauges, lights, and radios. Also, if an engine was submerged in water for a long period of time, it will likely be unfixable due to things rusting faster in water. It would have broken through seals and gaskets, and water would have gotten into things such as the crankcase, pistons, and even the valves. So, to wrap it up, if this was a real situation, you would be in trouble. You would have to take apart and rebuild that car from every nut and bolt.
@@ggrich3273 you would have to literally take that whole car apart, and I mean removing the body from the frame, probably replacing the frame, because water will rust that frame to nothing, so if you want to make it show quality, then you are going to have to pretty much replaced everything
