- Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is a dramatic return to the Prince's 2D roots, mixing in Metroidvania elements, athletic combat and all the time-trickery you love from Sands of Time. Ash and Rosie have some Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown gameplay to show you and break down. This is Prince of Persia PS5 debut and it looks like it's going to be very special. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown comes to PS4 and PS5 on January 18, 2024.

As a PoP fan, I can't skip this but I do feel like this will be DMC vs DmC situation for me, where I will play it and maybe even enjoy it but all I'd want is another adventure similar to the Sands trilogy.
This is more in the vein of the original 1989 game than it is a reboot of SOT trilogy. Good thing about POP is that it never had a defined lore and characters like DMC which allows for more flexibility and takes with storytelling.
Also, The Sands of Time Remake is in the works so don't worry about playing as the prince again.
@@LP1ToTheEndOfTime Played and enjoyed the OG games. They are timeless classics. But honestly, this looks more like a Fortnite DLC and I blame Ubi for that with the initial trailer. Hip-hop music? Really? The backgrounds look okay, and the combat looks great, I guess I'd be okay with the character style in time. But that music...took me out of Persia in an instant.

I love how they took an older prince of persia game that was deemed hard as nails and revamped it to look this gorgeous.

Regarding shooting three arrows. I thought the character automatically shoots at what you want(closest enemy or switch). Isn't it so?

This looks AMAZING! I don’t understand reports that there were a lot of complaints about this reveal. Anyone not interested in this can go back and play the OG B&W Prince of Persia I played on my GameBoy.

I just saw the trailer, was this hyped or advertised? I didn't hear a single thing abt this game until just now? Didn't even hear any rumours of a game like this, but anyways, at first i was very unconvinced but as the gameply went on, i got more and more excited. I used to play the old classic POP on my grandads old samsung, it'll be fun from the looks of it
It looks fun :) but I feel like the game definitely needs to be more polished
So good thing this is only an early preview - don't get me wrong, it looks really nice snd the combat and abilities also look fun but for some reason the movement sort of feels unnatural 🤔 so I really hope that would be fixed

@@Space_Noise The Sands of Time Remake was transferred to The Ubi Montreal team last year where they rebooted the development on the game and they are bringing back members of the original team to work on the remake.
But they recently said that they are still in the conceptualization phase of development so it'll be years before the game comes out.
You wanting the remakes that apparently are still happening does not have anything to do with this game. How about you talk about this game?

Wild how opinion on this game has flipped so fast. It was revealed and people were pretty mixed, then people who played it have started talking and it’s great.
I don't care what the fanboys say, this game looks fun. Metroid Dread left me wanting more side scrolling action like this. Hope it's difficult like the old games too.

Prince of persia is one of my all time favorite franchises I've been waiting for a new game and I'm definitely gonna get this game
I'm not much for platforming, puzzling or side scrolling, but I must admit that this game looks fun. Thanks Access, for doing what you do so well, I'm very likely to give this one a go.
I literally had flashbacks to playing the original and The Sands of Time watching some of this game play. It looks amazing.

The only thing i can say is that i despise this game and i cannot understand why everyone always say tha same line “oh its so good that they reimagined the classic PoP” thats BS the original PoP games where good I’ll give you that but tis the trilogy that gave fame and power to the franchise and everybody seems to either forget that or acting like they dont know it
What the real fans want is a PoP game that rivals the ps2 trilogy and respects the fans

Truth be told, I didn't expect anything of this but it really looks like the actually put lot of creativity and effort into this. I'm cautiously excited.^^

I can't get with the swordfighting in this game. The original PoP and Sands of Time series had good swordplay. It's not my cup of tea to dash forward in mid air and take 3 slices at the enemy. I like jumping in the air and taking overhead slashes though. Also, bouncing off walls and slashing, but this is too over the top. And the enemies don't actually look like they are fighting you. It just doesnt look like combat to me. I'm not saying it's a bad game, the combat just doesn't appeal to me.
They need to make forgotten sands 2 or something like that but new with next gen graphics, they need to revive this franchise. Sadly this game will not do that, maybe even remake the old games

This looks great. I wasn't expecting anything like this from Ubisoft, so it's nice to have something so unexpected to look forward to.

Absolutely love the aesthetics of this game. Not usually a big fan of Ubisoft games but this is super interesting.
This game, more than even the original side scroller, has a cereal box feel to it or being generous a cheap psp or mobile game. This is most likely due to the exhaustive focus testing ick that drips from every frame and detail from the art design right down to the "look at me" attack concepts. But how bland the game is, how forgetable it will be, how rounded the edges are for modern audiences and how many boxes the game ticks is irrelevant for the time being as I love a good metroidvania and most prince of Persia games so: Where in the narrative did "please like me" dual wielding try hard get time powers? and how intuitively animated and satisfyingly responsive is this wannabe prince substatue in comparison to the Knight from Hollow Knight?
Prince of Persia Warrior Within was basically my entire youth so with a bit of luck the sequel to this will also be goth, bloody and full of heavy metal. Regardless I'm pumped to play this game!
Temple Run 3 looks cool i guess, idk why theyre calling it Prince if Persia though...hopefully they dont charge a full $60 for it.
