As good ole J.R. would say "Good God almighty". I have been racking my brain for months trying to figure this question out and how to read this dang chart. I told my girlfriend if i could figure out these manifold pressure/fuel consumption questions i would add 6-8% to my ppl practice test. This was short, sweet and to the point and cleared everything up. I was trying to reinvent the wheel reading the chart when the solution was much easier. Two thumbs up for this video.

There is a bit of a trap in there: "Fuel flow per engine". And then it turns out to be a single engine airplane ?

Greetings sir! Great video! Just a quick question, why do u use kts instead of mph? U used 1000/164*11.5. Why not 1000/189*11.5? Thank you! Do you always use kts in aviation? Is there any situations where we can use mph? Thank you!

Knots (nautical miles per hour) is a common unit for aviation for the reason that the unit for distance in aviation is nautical miles.
To compare, 100 MPH (100 statute miles per hour) is about 15 percent slower than 100 knots (100 nautical miles per hour).
A stature mile is about 5280 feet, where as a nautical mile is about 6080 feet.

my way makes no sense but gives the same exact answer, to the very last digit, i did 8,000 (altitude) divided by 164 (kts) = 48.7804878 x 11.5 (gph) = 560.97561 divided by 8 (altitude, but only the digit before the comma) = 70.1219512195122, can anyone explain my method? i don't understand how i got it right, but it worked
