I love how with all the others Seonghwa tends to be much more forward, the confident side of the Confident vs Panic gay meme (every 5 minutes it's "look at my beautiful baby Yeosang, isn't he the most handsome boy, look how pretty he is"). But when it's Hongjoong, he gets all shy and sweet nowadays, gets flustered when he pays attention to him, it just so cute.

I've never fallen with an idol ship this much before. Hwa is charismatic on stage, it's their concept but can be shy if off stage. even though he seems tough, but will be ashamed of himself if hong see him straight to the eyes. Even they are avoid eyes each other. Hong takes on the role of caring for the members and Hwa take a role to taking care of Hong, they protect each other. After all they had seen each other for a long time since traine era. And i like their Push-Pull relationship 😂

This is just my opinion but I feel like Hongjoong is the type of person who's not used to skinship/affection because either he rarely receives/gives it or he just doesn't show it. But then he can feel Seonghwa's sincerity in terms of the friendship, how Seonghwa takes care of Hongjoong since he's clumsy. I think from there he can sense that Seonghwa is someone reliable, someone he can trusts fully so that's why we can see that Hongjoong responds to Seonghwa's antics or skinship/affectionate now compared to before. Anyway, both of them are so lovable

Seriously, I haven't shipped two people as hard as I do them. And you've probably seen their recent vlog before the new content video while they are in the dressing room. Seonghwa is the one shooting and he points it at Hongjoong. I can't remember the exact words, but he said "Look at you, so sexy" and Hongjoong replies back with "You're more sexy." I clutched my heart!
Great video! I think Joongie is still in denial, like he still thinks of them as friends, but sometimes he'll have these thoughts like "wow, Seonghwa looks so great today" while staring lovingly at him. And then he'll catch himself and return to focus on talking at interviews and whatnot. Seonghwa on the other hand is out in the open. Not only does he freely give him affection early on, but I swear the look on his face in your favorite clip you showed screamed "oh damn, I'm gay, what now?" The way he tried to hold Joongie's hand in the Utopia behind the scene and always making it known that he misses Jonngie when he goes to the studio. When Hongjoong asked what he wants to do if he came home, I'm pretty sure Seonghwa wanted Joongie to say things he'd like so that he would have more reason to be home.
Another theory about Hongjoong is that Seonghwa's feelings are completely one sided. This is a sadder theory, but maybe Seonghwa confessed and Hongjoong rejected him because he didn't feel the same, but they're still friends. Or he hasn't told Joongie, but the feelings are very strong. Like a romantic manga series, and both of them have feelings for each other, but the readers are waiting for a confession.

They just look so cute together. I love how Seonghwa so freely shows his affection for Hongjoong. It's very obvious because he's normally not very eloquent but when it comes to Hongjoong he would have the most beautiful compliment (like the Dec 2020 HJ Busking live). Hongjoong on the other hand looks quite standoffish and distant, which leads to some think that Seonghwa's feeling is unrequited. I think that might not be true. As a Scorpio myself and have energy and MBTI very similar to Hongjoong's I think that's just how he handles affections. He is a bit cat-like, likes to be the one showing affections and doing things for SH, and gets the attention when he wants it (I know it might sound a bit selfish). That's probably why SH holds back a lot and seems surprised when HJ gets touchy-feely with him (all the still here moments).
HJ is also shy to shower SH with compliments publicly (that's why he said he complimented SH behind him a lot), but he really does appreciate SH without being too loud and obvious. The poetic lyrics in "Thank U" is the best example ("You know my heart is with you", "The world is not rough when I have you by my side"), also HJ loves laughing at every cute things SH does, and not to mention he is very jealous and possessive towards SH. If he doesn't have any feelings toward SH he would avoid him at all cost and wouldn't show any affections towards (nor even tease) him. So I think HJ def has feelings towards SH too.
