Really poor shortcut You have taken here. Not only You didn't avoid those snipers, but actually got engaged and hit by them. Another thing is that eliminating them is pretty easy and taking their Dragunov rifles is useful later :)

just searched for d channel *ODDzBALL* *IGI-I using only knife* u'll b amazed The guy completed all IGI-I mission without using ne weapon. (by using only Knife)

I used to collect the UZI Gun because , uzi's ammos can be shared with Mp5
But I never use UZI
