Not a joke I've seen them 20 times at least including Chile (not this one) but speaking to Chilean people ( I speak Spanish fluently) they told me when Maiden are coming to town it's almost an unnoficial Holiday as they know nobody is going to work the next day hangovers etc (it does actually affect the whole country) these guys are just monsters of Rock.
As an Irish Maiden fan I've seen them in many countries (mostly in Ireland, UK and Europe) but the best show I've been to was in Argentina in 2011 not just because the band was on fire at the time (as they absolutely were) but because the south American audiences were absolutely fantastic because you could really feel the passion for the music overflowing.
That's true! The best overall rock crowds are in South America (the ABC, Argentina, Brazil, Chile) but I've noticed that here in Chile the metal crowds are something else. Cheers!
Chile and Brits have good relations, hoes way back to the war of Independence and the Scottish naval officer Thomas Cochrane, who Napoleon called The Sea Wolf, and whose exploits were simply awesome, Cochrane became the Admiral of the fledgling Chilean navy and thumped the Spanish. During the Falklands War, 'Gus' Pinochet was a firm friend to Britain, quite a few Chileans live near us in England and I have 4 friends who settled in Chile from the UK in the 90s and 00s.

Chileans have iron maiden songs running through their bloodstream. That is true, once maiden SHOWS UP its insane. Thats mostly because back in the day IRON MAIDEN was denied the entry to Chile by the Pinochet administration . They claimed their music was "satanic" and went against the Religious values of the country. Since then going to a MAIDEN concert is a MUST!.
No small Maiden gig..EXCEPT back home in Britain where they still play the smaller venues snd arenas AND also keep tickets for sale on the door. It's their way of saying thanks to their original fans and why they price their UK tickets accordingly. Taylor Swift tickets in the UK £300 Maiden £45 ...
