Nice healthy looking longans! I am no expert but planting a tropical that deep may be the issue. Generally you want the top of the root ball to be at or above grade for several reasons - aeration and drainage being the most important (roots need oxygen and don't like to sit in a swamp). Compost and mulch right on top of the root ball out to the drip line of the plant for it to feed. I too am still learning and am in a different country so maybe your method works best for you and your area though.
I totally agree with what you're saying, but I felt in the case of both longans they would fair better at level grade. I later piled up a mound of compost and mulch 10 inches high.
Nice, I just planted in ground a Lychee 15minutes ago.
Nice!
You know summer down under is close when the tropicals go in the ground :)
Beautiful looking specimens, hope they do well 🤞
Thanks Brett!
Nice work mate, wishing you lots of warm weather and sunshine 🌞🌱
Thanks 👍
Love you new replace Lonkan super healthy 🤩👍
Thanks! I hope they do well!
Nice. Thanks for the tips!!
No problem!
Nice Longan trees, they look like they’re going to do well.
I keep seeing glimpses of your dragon fruit plant in the background of your videos, how are those doing in your zone?
I'm still a newbie with DF, no success as I needed a pollinator, so a couple of years ago I planted a self pollinating variety which might help with the older one. Many Asian growers in my city get great results.
How are they doing?
Slow growing but alive and well.
Hey there, what video of yours do you talk about your spacing of trees? Been watching tons and seen some info on keeping your trees short but looking for a focused video.

Is better to use water to lose the soil
Please show us about what are the fertilizers you are mixing with soil while planting your fruit plants, in detail
Use the word 'planting' in the search to find videos I've made on this subject.
Which variety is best?
Kohala
@@RealLifeFruitopia Kohala /ping pong same variety?
Are Those two trees got fruit yet?Where you got those from?
Still young trees. Bought from Daleys online.
Off the topic. But i have a wurtz avacado about 8 years old in ground. It has never fruited. Just wondering if I should pull out need the space for Hawaiian guava.
Do your ones fruit enough.
My 2 Wurtz trees give around 10-15 fruit a year, should be over 100 though. The trees didn't start producing until 5 or 6 yo.
So not very productive. Must not suit melb
@@bronemiller It's not about location, but something that is yet to be figured out.
Two possible reasons. Firstly it might have been grown from a seed. Or secondly, it is a type A avocado tree and needed a Type B avocado tree planted nearby for the flowers to be pollinated.
Dear how about the tree you pull out from ground?still alive or died?
Died
Hi … how’s your Wax Jambu doing?
It's alive and holding a few leaves. Waiting for new growth.
@@RealLifeFruitopia Thanks .. you have inspired to get 3 guavas and I’m baby sitting them in pots. Planning to get a Wax Jambu but not sure they will be able to tolerate the Melbourne winter..
@@SiddKundu Get the red WJ, the white and pink won't survive our winter.
absolut not deep enough planting... 1/2 meter minimum...greetings from the orginal 'lamyang'' plant
Ok, thank you
