  • @goatyachty1762
    @goatyachty1762 Год назад

    When you take the top end off do you have to reset your timing and everything as well and valve clearance as well. The most annoying part seems like the top end stuff

    I have a question is it only 2 strokes that require a case splitting tool or would a 2012 kx450f need a case splitting tool?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 года назад

      The case splitting tool works on most 2 and 4 stroke engines with vertically split cases (like the KX450F).

    I have a question about the two snap rings on the stator cover I replaced my stator cover and replaced the rubber seal but the other I think it’s the oil valve dose it matter how it’s positioned inside the cover

    • @CharlesTheWrench
      @CharlesTheWrench 2 года назад +1

      The position of the oil relief valve won't matter as long as its fully seated. Just make sure the sharp edges of the snap rings face out and make sure they are fully seated. ruclips.net/video/r3XryeyZr3k/видео.html -Charles

    Quick question for you. How many hours do you go before replacing crank on a 450?
    Thanks in advance 🙏🙂

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 года назад +2

      That answer will vary depending on your bike, riding style, conditions you ride in,and previous maintenance. Pro level riders can sometimes get 100 hours out of a crank while amateurs can get 200+ hours on a crank. You'll want to check the manual for your bike and also check the free-play of the connecting rod anytime you're in the top end.
