I attended a game during the first season of the new Busch Stadium where he pitched a gem, a two-hit complete game 4-0 shutout against the Dodgers. He was completely in command and looked to be having the time of his life. The game also included a 2 run HR by Juan Encarnacion, a double by Pujols, and a patented Jim Edmonds diving catch in CF. Great memories!
I only wish Gibson would have gotten the win because he pitched well. But a win is a win. Pedro Pages two run homer in the eighth was enough for the win 😀💪🏻
