      @Petra Horzelenberg I have to totally agree. My Husband found me a Dremel Model 595 type 5 with the box but it is missing the book and tons of the Accessories. This video showed me what I do need to purchase for me to use along with my Spoon Carving and Axe Grinding also know I know what I need for Glass sanding to make some wind chimes.

      I am also very thankful for this awesomely informative video! As others have mentioned, there is no real information on the attachments and their uses in most others videos that I’ve found.
      I am always thinking… “thanks, but I read the product information box before purchasing my rotary tool, I even read the manual that came with it!”
      Your video was super helpful and much appreciated. Many thanks to you sir.

      @@TimberSurf Indeed and agreed with Mr. Studds. A question regarding interchangeability with other brands. Bits are interchangeable with Einhell however, do you know if gigs, adaptors general accessories like the Router and Workstation are working with the Einhell or other multitools as well? And again, thank you for this invaluable guide.

    • @TimberSurf
      @TimberSurf  2 года назад +1

      @@dionysislarson6352 I am not familiar with gigs, most bits are either 3mm (metric) or 3.12mm (Imperial), both fit the standard collet, other diameters could be used if the collet is changed.

    • @dionysislarson6352
      @dionysislarson6352 2 года назад +1

      @@TimberSurf That is disappointing news but thank you, Sir. I was just hoping, since Dremel has the vast majority (if not all), of the accessories, like the Workstation that I mentioned, that they'd work with a B&D, Stanly or Einhell multi-tools. Trying to find clear cut info. on this, isn't as easy as I'd thought it be. Oh, and I misspelled "Jigs" when I wrote Gigs. Again, thank you for the video and the response, Sir.

      I do not have an answer for your question either but a possible option / suggestion in case you are not able to find an answer. Home Depot has a very forgiving return policy. You could buy the attachment that you are hoping to crossover and if it does not fit, you could return it and let them know why. As long as it isn’t broken or beat up and you’ve just tried to fit it, you should have no problem with a return. Just a thought. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

    I have a dremel, but not a single bit :). Your last video cost me money on buying step drill bits. Now this video is going to cost me money on dremel bits. Can you please make a video that is not going to cost me money?

    • @TimberSurf
      @TimberSurf  4 года назад +6

      (I laughed so hard . . . .) I am so very sorry about the step drills! I cannot take the blame for you buying a dremel with no bits! I may have to succumb to some blame later however, now that you know the range of bits you can buy! I promise that Vidbit 18 will only cost you 5 cents for the hack, but if you don't own the item in the first place, it may cost you another 50 bucks! lol

    In my humble opinion. Dremel has to be my number one tool used most. Absolutely love my Dremel. It is a must have for any hobbist who's serious about their hobby.
    Have you used the Dremel Ez-Lock cutting system yet ? They are far better (and safer) than Dremel cutting disc. Kit comes with disc for Metal,Plastic and Wood.

    • @TimberSurf
      @TimberSurf  4 года назад

      I don't own a Dremel, both of mine are mains powered cheapy alternatives. May have to get a cordless one when I start the major track laying later. I did notice the Ez-lock system when doing research, but have not tried it yet.

      @@TimberSurf Proxon also makes a rotary tool. Although I don't own a Proxon it might be easier to find in the UK. To be honest I don't know that much about Proxon. Dremel on the other hand. Can say will ease. It is a truly wonderful tool. Not only my hobby but anything around the house too.
      I assume if buying one in UK it has the correct cord & voltage for your country. If you do decide to buy a Dremel. Make sure to get the keyless chuck for the Dremel. That Chuck makes for super easy bit change. No more figety collets to fool with.
