Just beautiful! How long (length)was the paper you used to make the pattern initially?
You need it to be at least 2.7 inches + the measurement you calculated in the beginning (head circumference/2 - 4”)

Please help me understand the dimensions. I'm new and a bit confused.
I did the fabric 12 inches and the elastic 5 inches and it was too lose so I trimmed it to 11in and it’s still too big. So not sure 16inches definitely doesn’t work
