Sandstorm didn’t even necessarily fall off or got worse at the game (he’s still insane) but other players have just gotten better. Kinda a “McQueens fading” situation

Sandstorm has stated multiple times that his biggest weakness and issue in this game are Katars. It’s a mental thing.

- It’s safer to use the legend you’ve been using throughout the whole event. Which btw he’s been practicing the whole year.
- He’s had 0 warm ups or practice for the day on Red Raptor which is why he got insta 0td.
- Using a no warm up legend this late in the event is more prayer than strategy especially against a PR1

Even if you are used to a legend and you have been training with them for a good minute, people will start to read your playstyle with than given legend. Most pros can study each others playstyles before games to gain the advantage. Thats why acno and blaze beat boomie and sandstorm in lan back in 2019. Playing an unprecedented legend gives randomness and unpredictability in a playstyle. Why do you think sandstorm didn't use mordex at all when he's used to switching to mordex after losses?

I think sandstorm has a lot of bad starts and then catches up and adapts later in the set. Thats a very common pattern for him. Godly is so good though that sandstorm didnt manage to adapt in time to this new opponent. Not saying sandstorm would eventually adapt and be better but a sweep like that isn’t representative, imo godly is so ridiculously precise and fast, hes like a chosen bot with a brain… more sets and sandstorm would be able to fight back and then who knows howd it go
And by the time sandstorm adapts godly would adapt too lol

Sandstorm did kinda feel off but he isn’t to the point where he couldn’t make it to that position . But clearly sometimes u gatta admit that he did .
The strength of the boots is to leave the enemy drowning with so many attacks with practically no rest time, but Sandstorm is using it as if it were a weapon of pontual attacks, so it does no damage.

Sandstorm think that the battle boots would give competition for his opponents like when he used it for Pavelski . And in my opinion the battle boots are so rigged it’s so easy to peace ppl up and damage them knowing that the battle boot legends are part of the game ppl know about the issue and how broken they are but anyone that uses them in a tournament is actually straight trash and has no skill in my opinion. It’s all they can rely on .
