Doesn’t get better than that , fantastic birds and a good lot of guns to share the day. Great to see the young boys out in the field, could do with more getting out and learning about nature 👏👏
Too true David there isn't enough youngsters in the fields anymore
Love the fact that you kept the clowning and teezing in the beginning in the video. It's the people who make the hunt/shoot. Busting chops with the boys is always fun!
Can’t say how much i like watching your videos many more times. Hunting and shooting clays targets should be a part everybody life at least once!🇺🇸🐻
Thanks Jerry and too true!!
Looks a superb spot Dave! Great to see the young lads involved
Absolutely fantastic place Chris - thanks for watching

Great watch and great shooting. Good to see you back. Stay safe.
Thanks Wayne
As always an amazing film and I’m especially happy to see the young boys taking part in this fine family shoot. Without those boys being involved the sport will have a hard time surviving, excellent parents theirs. Sending my best to you and yours from Tennessee.
Thanks for your nice comments Kelly👍
I come from England iv lived in the USA for nearly 40 years only the very wheathy get to go on hunts like this in both countries nothing changed except in england you can bait in the usa they do it illegal which is stupid you have to bait properly to have good shooting and remove preditors iv worked on estates when I used to see mum and dad and go down the pub and tell them all about the usa craxy laws the ex keepers would say it's as though they didn't want to shoot anything and that's the truth bait up that pond for a year don't forget the apples yourl have lots of tasty ducks don't bait and your have non it's all very intresting
A terrific fillum! Don't ever change, sir. Your regional accent is superb. I can listen to a Lancastrian accent all day long!! 🤣😂
Thanks and i like the Lancastrian bit 😂
@@DaveCarrieShooting You’re a good man, Mr. Carrie.
Great video and what a fantastic shoot, good to see the young lads being involved in the countryside and shooting
Thanks
What a pleasure to watch this shoot Dave, I've missed seeing you! Thank you for putting this one up it had all the elements there; great shooting on really testing birds against a nice hilly backdrop, a superb team of guns and the easy camaraderie that makes the day. That second barrel of yours at the 11:12 mark was perfection. As usual you encourage the youth, and it sure looks like those two great kids are well on the way to being the future of our sport. Well done! Thanks and best regards as always, Ed.
Thanks Ed your comments are always encouraging and much appreciated👍
As always a great depiction of what it's all about. What a great place family and way to grow up indeed. Nice bit of cheeky banter there Dave 😂😂

Great Video Dave 👏👏👌🏻👍
Thanks Chris
Those birds were high - what a shoot! To my layman's eye that estate equalled anything in Devon or Brigands.
It is a very good shoot but very private, one of my all time favorites
Excellent video . 👍
Thank you very much!
Pleasure to watch 👍🏻
thanks Shaun
Some cracking birds there Dave
Cheers

Thanks for that DAVID

That's good shooting👍
Thank you
Dave, which weight and pellet size did you use? Will you review the new Miroku mk11? Stuart "the jester" is some character :-)
Thanks - Stuart is a great laugh - 40grm 3 still awaiting delivery of the MK11
Pulling some of those birds out of orbit...looked like a fine day, well shot Dave
very nice day thank you👌
exceptional intro
Thanks James
@@DaveCarrieShooting I wish my country's countryside was as well cared for and as good of people. For us, it has become tearing up land, corporate farming, and impoverish people that create their own little "villages" to escape the law. Really wish I grew up in the countryside of GB
dave very nice a bientot en france
Thanks Frederic
Will you come back to drumlanrig estate.to shoot again
Yes I will 👌
Hello from the States, Dave! My in-laws are from Scotland. What was the name of the estate, and in what town?
I’ve recently begun “upland” bird hunting here, and I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos, for enjoyment and instruction.
Hi Barry
I can only say it is near Kelso in the Beaumont valley area👍
Great vid. Great work.
A few questions. How long are your barrels . Do you initially place your gun on the body of the bird ie pull away or just behind.Do you see a gap but keep your intense focus on the bird and not the gap.Would be great to see some of your shots on shotkam.
32 inch Barrels - always fleetingly on the body to see direction and a sense of speed, putting lead on is a very split second decision
@@DaveCarrieShooting Many thanks.
Hey Dave you OK we haven’t seen any really good videos that you make in over a month we are growing concerned I hope all is well with you
Ok thanks Greg, lots of our filming cancelled with covid, still going strong tho and more films in the pipeline .
DC
Back in 60s I was a farmer and did quite a lot of grouse and pheasant beating co Durham Northumberland found this channel by accident . . .good stuff and memories ...sadly a minority sport now ...atb dave
Thanks Carol & Dave i am pleased you enjoyed the film and hopefully you will enjoy the rest of them👍
One more comment . You seem to shoot with a Monte Carlo stock but don't exactly have a Gezelle type long neck. Do you use this stock because you get better face contact.
Exactly that - quicker and better contact
@@DaveCarrieShooting many thanks
@@DaveCarrieShooting
Apologies for geeky question. Simulation of game.High long crosser powerful spring. It would be interesting to know very approximately on the flightpath where the clay is going to be travelling at 30 to 60 mikes an hour pheasant speed. Has anyone studied it eg with time lapse camera.
Grande ..
Thankyou JJ
that was a brilliant film with some fantastic shooting by you and the team what a lovely shoot nowt wrong wit accent
Thanks Neil much appreciated👌
Muy buenas cazerias amigos excelente🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨💯
Gracias
Tus comentarios son muy apreciados
Nice video like always. What choke sizes are you using for partridge shooting?
3/4 3/4
I did notice in yours hire the birds were lower which is good for the old men I'm one and I can't see that well anymore
I did the same with dove hunting when we had doves
Yorkshire accent all the way!
Thanks Oliver 👍
Absolutely no need to apologise for your accent, it's music to any countrymans ears! Ps I'm irish
Thanks Aidan some don't like it tho!!
All i have to finish up with very enjoyable and i miss it but regular people dont do it because it costs to much money so yousters get a good job like dave did so you can go dave should be giving lessons how to make money as the old die of i ask myself as england is invaded by foreigners dont these people hunt apparently not the only other way of doing it is to have 4 drives with 2 different people sharing each separate drive with a twelve cartridge limitt so that would be the cost divided by eight that would be affordable great idea and you get a cup of tea
A Proper days shooting
Every shoot should be the same
The main thing people don't realise is the complete over the top regulation just to have a shotgun it's craxy a simple background check would do I'm so thankfull I can enjoy the real freedoms of America and have my carry permit when in england I had my shotgun certificate in the 70tys it was reasoble but what you have to go though today is craxy its just a shotgun I couldn't do the computer it's completely craxy if you done nothing wrong it should be simple

👍👍👍
I enjoy Dave Carey but he can't to normall folk he has so much money which is great but tell us the cost of these places you know it's up there because he saids when advertising these places he saids to our forien friends I'll quess 750 per day can you please tell us I know about the gameshooting game it's for deep pockets and it's done by old rich men I would love one drive but I don't have unlimited money yes it's great and we'll done
Do what we do get a team together of ten guns and take a 100 bird day at approx 450 pounds a gun . Been doing it twice a year for thirty year. Great fun great Crack.. plenty of food taken to spread the day out. It can be done in a smaller way. Long may it last.
