Someone tell Trudeau to get on this this is not fair for the rest of the country and other country this is going to cripple everyone
Merge with the states
Mange de la moutarde.
How about kick out all the railway lines going thru major cities sucking up all the inner city real estate how about proper soil testing at all sites pretty sure its not sandbox material not to mention all the dangerous and hazardous goods also being transported .
Ejoy ur strike make us all pay more for everything more than we already are
More canadians crying because the free money trains are over. LMAO
FJT lol
Politics will never make any sense. This is why all these politicians just need to step down. How can a whole country that collects not less than 50% of our hard earned money through taxes come on tv telling us the railway is shutting down! Like do we have to audit this railway company ourselves for there to be real accountability? Like somebody make this shit make sense, where is all the money going? Politicians have to start counting some sense in some of us. We dont want explanations we want solutions, you guys have all the money and resources to make that happen, it doesnt fall from heaven Smh!
We've done it before truckers will pick up the slack
Lol based
It's time for the Railway to be nationalized again. It should be unionized, but it is an essential service. There is no point having an aigricultural industry if the transportation system is so poorly managed by those involved in it.
There has to be a time that Canadian business understands their function or they should get out of it.
We can carry grain on our electric bikes to the mill down the road.
Trucking is absoluately an option to rail. It's just that it's costly for the shippers, and is ineffcient.
WE have developed rail for obvoius reasons, but much of the world runs on rail for obvoius reasons.
If they can't see their function anymore, let's get rid of rail, and go back to horses and buggies, and local mills.
The Union refused Binding Arbitration. They shouldn't be able to. Trucking prices have already doubled, once the strike hits it'll be more than tripled. Walmart and Amazon can afford to pay but the smaller suppliers and manufacturers will suffer and lose money. The Union is holding the country hostage, but they also see the railways making billions and want a piece of the pie. Food prices are already high, and this will increase it further. The government doesn't think its essential service because the bureaucrats can afford to eat in fancy restaurants, but the average citizen will suffer. Our government is useless with the Liberal/NDP lovefest
The company forced this highly unorthodox contract change in collusion with CP. Make no mistake, the companies did this, not the unions
Maybe live the previous contract negotiations before c9mmenting
The union rejected arbitration first. CN suggested it.
Food prices are so high..now I eat only rice with one curry..only 2 meals a day..I am a senior on Gis..
Another opportunity for right-wing media to take a run at unions. Pretty tired.
At one point is it skewed one way or the other?
Watch the eastern elitists and the “news” media call for the Emergencies Act.
(Oh wait- that’s just for truck drivers - I forgot sorry)
i'm John Corey he's an imposter
Better start buying floor and stuff like that
