@Landen Nixon Yup, I've been watching on Flixzone for months myself =)
On question 1 Why not pulmonary angiogram Its main use is to diagnose pulmonary embolism (PE)? It is a preferred choice of imaging in the diagnosis of PE
Too invasive. High mortality. Helical CT is comparable without the perils.
Thank you Nelson.
This is a weird one based on what terms refere to in a historical setting. Basically all modern CT-scanners use "helical" or "spiral" scanning. A better answer would be "CT pulmonary angiography", which is the same thing but using modern language. For some reason, this old term is pretty much only ever seen when someone is looking for PE.
I agree
Audio is not working.... kindly fix it up.... thank you

In question 14, you say home oxygen is only for comfort. But in your video for COPD you say home oxygen improves survival.
Therefore, aside from advising smoking cessation, Home oxygen is the most important component of therapy.
Pls clarify this point.
The only 2 interventions that has shown better survival are quitting smoking and supplemental oxygen at least 10-12 hrs/day.
awesome videos Dr Paul....Thanks a lot please keep it up.
dear Dr.Bolin, I am very confident that your videos are absolutely efficient but some videos including this one have no sound and it is very painful please look into the problem, with many thanks
The sound issues in this video should be addressed now. Look above for the link to the older version which has sound.

thanks!
is utube messing up or dr. paul?
Furthermore Question 14 is asking specifically the best therapy for THIS PATIENT whose FEV1/FVC ratio is 50%. And she has been smoking and continues to do so. Not willing to stop I assume. So what is the FEV1/FVC cut off to commence the oxygen therapy?
Stage III Severe COPD or < 70%
Sorry to interject, although this is a bit old, but i do believe the information you provided is misleading. Prescription of supplemental O2 is beneficial who have concomitant arterial hypoxemia, evidence of cor pulmonale/right heart failure or erythrocytosis.
Commencement of oxygen therapy is recommended when:
PaO2 55 or
