I know it's been a while, but I'm here. It seems pretty fantastical so far. First boss was tough for sure. I definitely want to do Star Wars Outlaws, but I'm still on a 100ing series of Star Wars Jedi Survivor. The way I view games is how much I enjoy it, regardless of what other people think of it. I know some people have a skeptical approach to games, like "is it any good?" Yeah, you kind of have to like the genre to get really into it.
Cannon Spike on the Dreamcast is also a great shmup with Capcom characters. Dreamcast has some good shmups and a good indie Dreamcast game is Sturmwind, which also got a port on the Switch called Sturmwind EX (PAL) region.
I've been looking to buy this game for the Switch just haven't got around to it yet. For $30 brand new I think it would be a good buy. My favorite shmups are Gradius and Life Force. I also want to get Salamander 2 aka Life Force 2 for the Japanese Sega Saturn. Not long ago I purchased the Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection for Switch which has the first Salamander game and also the Psikyo Shooting Collection 1 & 2 on the Switch are loaded with great shmups. Gamers can't go wrong with those.

I can relate. Jedi Survivor is among very few games I just had to Platinum. The assist achievement had me doubling back on a second play through

@@BigRetroShow R Type is a good one as well and there's a few R Type games I would like to add to the collection. The SNES R Type is tough.
