【長野／信濃国一宮】諏訪大社上社本宮／諏訪大社巡り - Suwa Taisha Kamisha Honmiya in NAGANO, JAPAN

諏訪大社上社本宮は、長野県諏訪市の守屋山北麓に鎮座する。
諏訪湖周辺に4か所ある諏訪大社の一つ。
社殿6棟が国の重要文化財に指定されている。
諏訪大社は、南アルプスの最北にあたる守屋山を御神体として祀り本殿を持たない。
本来なら、拝殿は御神体である守屋山方向に向くべきだが、上社本宮では上社前宮の方向を向く。
天正10年（1582年）織田信長の武田攻めに際して、戦渦は諏訪まで及び諏訪大社も被害を被った。
現在の建物は江戸時代に再建されたものでる。
徳川家康の寄進による四脚門など、国の重要文化財に指定されている貴重な建造物も多い。
龍や千鳥などの彫刻が飾られた建築は、地元の工匠立川流二代目富昌の代表的建築である。
信州を代表するパワースポットとして一年を通して多くの参拝者が、ここ諏訪大社本宮を訪れる。

Suwa Taisha Kamisha Honmiya Shrine is located at the northern foot of Moriya Mountain in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture.
It is one of the four Suwa taisha shrines located around Suwa Lake.
Six of the shrine buildings have been designated as national important cultural properties.
Suwa Taisha Kamisha Honmiya Shrine enshrines Moriya, the northernmost mountain in the Southern Alps, as its sacred body and does not have a main shrine.
Originally, the worship hall should face towards Mt. Moriya, the object of worship, but in Kamisha Honmiya, it faces towards Kamisha Maemiya.
In 1582, during Oda Nobunaga's attack on Takeda, the vortex of war reached Suwa, and Suwa Taisha suffered damage.
The present building was rebuilt in the Edo period.
Many of the buildings, such as the Shikyakumon Gate donated by Tokugawa Ieyasu, are designated as national important cultural properties.
The architecture, decorated with carvings is representative of the architecture of Tomimasa, the second generation of the Tachikawa school of local craftsmen.
As one of the most popular power spots in Shinshu, Suwa Taisha Kamisha Honmiya Shrine is visited by many worshippers throughout the year.
