Greg, I'm with you regarding dogs and teenagers in movies: I ALWAYS only care about the dog (or cat or even mouse etc). You and Roxy are an awesome duo, please keep teaming up on these horror movies!
I making my way through Stephen King book/movies that’s after Kujo. When someone says a stephen King adaptive movie is good I know Im gonna be on the edge of my seat 😂😂😂
The "I'm not weak, I'm not my mother" line does make sense. Ma and Maggie's mom were cool (to some degree), but she stood by knowing what they were going to do to Ma. Maggie wasn't going to just leave and let Genie get hurt. Thus, she's not like her mother in that regard.
I agree that it makes sense to the viewer. It just didn't seem like Maggie was at odds with her mom over her past, especially since she didn't really know the full history. At least that's my take on it!
This movie was crazy, but I loved how it seemed Octavia was having fun playing a psycho. I like seeing actors step out of their elements every once in awhile. Great reaction, you two!
What's genius about the mercedes kill, and the turn in general, is that they wait until AFTER they reveal the full backstory. like, its not until you see what happened in the past that she really snaps. I thought the structure of that was a brilliant choice. much better then it being, oh here's a crazy psycho killing people, oh and here's her tragic backstory we reveal near the end.
this is always so fascinating to me since i never once went to a party, nor had an adult friend as a kid, nor drank underage. I was not sheltered, I just didn't care for any of that and was more introverted. So movies like these interest me a lot, especially when reactors talk about how much they relate to the teens. I'm kind of glad I never experienced these things.
I'll have to see this movie in it's entirety to grasp the full context, but based on the clips alone, it seems like another good cautionary tale about how important it is to be nice to people when you're in high school.
In HS we would literally party wherever we could find. Friend of a sisters friends cousin twice removed, basements, treehouses, fire pits we made in the woods, an RV in someone's yard... Crazy!!It's amazing none of us were murdered
He is from Girl Meets World, portrayed Stuart Meekus' son. This is second collaboration between Octavia Spencer and director Tate Taylor (who has a small cameo in Ma film as the cop frisking the kids and something happens to him in the climax), first being Get on Up the James Brown biopic with the late Chadwick Boseman.
Man, I remember a time when Octavia was just the girl who did Peter's enrollment in Wrestling on Sam Raimi's Spider-man. She was hilarious for that 1 minute scene and I'm so happy to see how long she's got. She's amazing in The Shack and everything she's in.
Octavia Spencer absolutely killed it in this role. I was also on the edge of my seat for the entire movie and those two things alone make this one a win for me. thanks for the reaction, Greg and Roxy! 😃
So, a little late to the party but I had to Google this after I saw this movie and the dog’s blood would be rejected, making his wound (and his blood) eject/reject faster.
Like Roxy, I’d totally be in this situation as a teen. In fact! one time my friend’s neighbor said we were too loud so he offered us to hang out in his soundproofed basement. We said yes until we saw all the knives on the wall.
the best duo of reacters ever, my favorites, I want a t-shirt that says "I don't know Greg", I have a lot of fun with your reactions, great movie, it keeps you in suspense until the end
Said this before but I'm saying it again : Greg and Roxy are the best duo. I just love Roxy so much. I love her opinions, her voice and just everything.
This made me want you guys to watch Kidnap with Halle Berry if you two haven’t watched it before. I love this one and I really liked this when it came out.
Would love to see you react to Get on up ,girl on the train and the help li can’t remember if you both watched those movies but you did mention them .Tate,Allison and Octavia have worked on a number of movies together
I didn’t love it to the point of Roxy but I really really enjoyed it and think the Rotten Tomatoes score is way lower than it should be. It made me feel soooo uncomfortable. Even if this wasn’t my favorite movie ever I still felt really entertained and invested in the movie really enjoying it. I think I’d give it like a 7.9 out of 10.
I just kind of expected a silly teen slasher or something when I went to watch Ma but it went so hard. When you get a great actress to be your main character and villain you can get a performance that elevates the whole movie.
I think the music choices have to play into how Ma’s still stuck in the past. Those song choices are nostalgic for a reason! The only thing is that she’s using them almost like a siren trapping her enemies children. Scary but so good!

Please react to Marrowbone!?!
I love everyone on this channel, but there's no better duo than Greg and Roxy 😂❤
Honestly true
Agreed and coy
I agree. Greg and Tara is a close second Lol
They have good back and forth 😜
I love Tara and Roxy energy though too. They are so cu- PURGE!
Y'all should check out Kathy Bates in 'Misery' (1990). What a chilling performance. 😳
Yes please amazing movie
Oh my goodness yes. Plus the fact that they actually couldn’t stand each other on set. The movie is great!!!
Yesssss

Yup, always stand up for your friends, even if it means being outnumbered.

Octavia Spencer KILLED it in this role! (Can't say I'm surprised, though) 💜
MA was so unhinged it was hilarious. 😂😂😂
DON'T MAKE ME DRINK ALONE, DON'T MAKE ME DRINK ALOOONEEE 😂😂😂😅😅😅 ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES
I like how you guys look up info on some of the characters and actors after watching the movie. I wish other reactors did that.
Octavia Spencer absolutely crushed this role and Diana Silvers was busy in 2019 between Ma and Book Smart
I love this movie because it gives me the same pulpy vibes as 90s thrillers like Single White Female and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.

Very underrated film of a high school revenge story. I really love it because of its clever story buildup and Octavia Spencer’s amazing performance

Greg spitting up his water back into the bottle when ma smacks the girl w the iron was hilarious
I'll have to see this movie in it's entirety to grasp the full context, but based on the clips alone, it seems like another good cautionary tale about how important it is to be nice to people when you're in high school.
ive never seen roxy so S T R E S S E D omg buy this woman a nice meal so she can replenish her soul after this lol
Hahaha forealllll
Word, it was too funny at the same time you felt the same stress
Roxy with the Cam’ron reference popped me.
In HS we would literally party wherever we could find. Friend of a sisters friends cousin twice removed, basements, treehouses, fire pits we made in the woods, an RV in someone's yard... Crazy!!It's amazing none of us were murdered
Whenever Greg and Roxy react to a movie like this I can't get up off the floor. You guys are hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣
I loved the sudden switch of the Mercedes (enter Mercedes car crash joke here) kill.
He is from Girl Meets World, portrayed Stuart Meekus' son. Didn’t Tate also direct The Help?
@@SS4LuxrayCrap you are right. 3rd collaboration.
@@Brook11223 lol I actually always forget Tate directed Get On Up too
@@SS4Luxray He is the officer where his character gets killed off in Ma.
Man, I remember a time when Octavia was just the girl who did Peter's enrollment in Wrestling on Sam Raimi's Spider-man. She was hilarious for that 1 minute scene and I'm so happy to see how long she's got. She's amazing in The Shack and everything she's in.
Did this movie put you on edge as much as it did for Roxy? lol
Yeah it got me!
Yes. Lord. Saw it in theaters and made my skin crawl
Octavia Spencer absolutely killed it in this role. I was also on the edge of my seat for the entire movie and those two things alone make this one a win for me. thanks for the reaction, Greg and Roxy! 😃
Greg always identifies with the villain 😅😂❤
Yes Roxy with the Hey Ma song! Throwback right there! I honestly forgot MA was a Blumhouse flick.
when the flashback revealed what happened i instantly became a MA apologist
Hey guys...Hope you're all doing well there at the Reel Rejects...Any chance of an update on how the excellent Tara is doing?
She’s getting back to normal based off her instagram stories. So hopefully we’ll get her back on the channel soon. 🤘🏽
@@sandman4413 Cheers my man. Thanks for the update.👍🏼👍🏼
Great Reaction Greg and Roxy! This movie is so crazy! 👍
This movie is a MAsterpiece!
Love this movie and y’all’s reactions ❤😂
0:20 nah you got a follow just for this alone. Roxy down with Dipset 😂
So, a little late to the party but I had to Google this after I saw this movie and the dog’s blood would be rejected, making his wound (and his blood) eject/reject faster.

Roxy explaining it as “hey mister” my MA sistah right there lol❤️🤣
Hahaha I thought that was universal lmao
This made me want you guys to watch Kidnap with Halle Berry if you two haven’t watched it before. I love this one and I really liked this when it came out.
0:28 Greg does not look like he listens to Cam'ron and dipset
"That is cool!" "That is really messed up!" explains this movie perfectly
I wanna see Greg and Roxy watch Bringing down the House with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah, it’d be a legendary reaction.
That is one of my favorite all around funny movies. Amazing. 😂🎉
Octavia Spencer was a brilliant casting choice! You feel for her, find her funny at time, but also she is absolutely terrifying!
The actress who plays the mom is Juliette Lewis. React to her in The Basketball Diaries film ❤
Shout out to the dead mom club! My mom got me into horror. Nightmare movies were our favorite!
From what I’ve heard the director is close friends with Octavia Spencer and Allison Janey so they show up in alot of his work
I love your channel and your videos. Especialy the first watch videos with your reactions. Keep going. Greetings from germany😊
4:18 GET HIM Roxy 😂😂 you tell him lmao
Would love to see you react to Get on up ,girl on the train and the help li can’t remember if you both watched those movies but you did mention them .Tate,Allison and Octavia have worked on a number of movies together
Love how pinked out Roxy is!
Luke Evans is already dead when she lays with him at the end. He bleed to death thus the pool of blood in the bed, remember she slit his wrist. 😮
One of my favorite horror movies and your reactions were so great! Can't wait for the next video! -DPC member (nah ma here).
Yes. Greg is back in effect and i loved the Cam'ron reference
Timestamp?
Luke Evans was great in this movie called. No one lives terrifying.
Roxy, animal characters are literally ALWAYS better than human characters. Kill off everyone but the dog 🙌
Nothing like a Roxy horror movie reaction to brighten my day!☺
My fav girlie
I appreciate that Cam'ron reference in the intro😂🤣
WOW!! OMG.... THIS WAS SO DISTURBING!!
ROXY CRACKED ME UP!!!
1:08:14 if we would have seen more of the relationship between Ma and Juliet Lewis when they were in school then that last line would have been better
I forgot how crazy this movie was, great movie reaction 🔥🔥
49:35 what she doing with her hand 😂😂😂😂think my mind playing tricks
Roxy went straight into mom mode from the get
20:21 is she the girl at the beginning of SMILE😂😂😂
I didn’t love it to the point of Roxy but I really really enjoyed it and think the Rotten Tomatoes score is way lower than it should be. It made me feel soooo uncomfortable.
Even if this wasn’t my favorite movie ever I still felt really entertained and invested in the movie really enjoying it. I think I’d give it like a 7.9 out of 10.
This movie is hilarious! When she pulls out the gun and goes "Get naked boy" I just lost it
“No Greg Greg gre PURGE 😂😂” 41:29
I was working at a movie theater when this came out and I saw it at least 60 times
Yeah, there was no way Ma goes out giving "oral" but I see where Roxy was going with the ending 😂
Lmao I was very off with that one
Such an underappreciated movie. Octavia's a one of a kind.
I just kind of expected a silly teen slasher or something when I went to watch Ma but it went so hard. When you get a great actress to be your main character and villain you can get a performance that elevates the whole movie.
The intro alone let me know Roxie is the coolest woman on RUclips. “Hey ma… wassup” yaaaassssssss queen shit Roxie 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
19:42 - PURGE! 😂 YES
I just like Roxy voice!! These are the best just chilling with the awesome peeps.
I absolutely love how there was a good chunk of Mom cast 😭
Seems like you all had a good time. Wishing you all the best.
I like how the guy is getting blood into him and the blood pack changes
The only better than a Greg and Roxie reaction is a Greg And Roxie Horror Film Reaction!!!
love this reaction and can’t believe it was released back in 2019 before their fifth anniversary
I loved that Hey Ma song growing up by Camron, bearing in mind I was a like 12 when it was released the lyrics were pretty inappropriate lol 😂😂😂
I love Roxy so much. She was so stressed out. 😂
This was such a a blast 😂
Crazy to see adult Natalie from Yellowjackets in this movie ❤
We need a”MA” sequel asap
I think the music choices have to play into how Ma’s still stuck in the past. Those song choices are nostalgic for a reason!
The only thing is that she’s using them almost like a siren trapping her enemies children. Scary but so good!
New shirt-
Tortoise Force 💥🐢💨. 😂😂
You need to watch “The Gallows” just to see Roxy’s reaction 😭
I love crazy women movies and this is one of the best of recent memory. Spencer is so good and hilarious. Also, love Roxy with horns.
19:42 PURGED!! 🤭🤭😂😂
41:29 PURGED!!
This is a movie my mom watched and brought up to me in conversation, which is rare, lol.
I don’t know how you didn’t see it coming! Ma running over the blonde was so obvious
Surprisingly, this film was directed by Tate Taylor, who directed Octavia in The Help.
THE PURGE PILLOW STRIKES AGAIN
Another great reaction.
Roxy! I gotta know where you got your shirt!
From my friend Steph Sabraw’s closet lol. I know that isn’t helpful
1:06:11 check out my big Eric Robert’s…think he’s at 735 😂
Asking strangers always seemed weird to me. I just had my cousins do it lol.
yessss!! SCREAM QUEEN AND KING
Great movie choice! Great reactor choice. Perfect video! Keep it up!
MA was such an unserious movie in the best way possible 😭🤣🤣 so many layers
When I saw this I knew it would eventually resonate and become a modern cult classic over time.
