i found an abandon vr4 galant in my neighborhood, walk by it everyday not even looking twice at it until i saw the vr4 badge, wish me luck
As a person who’s been working on this generation of vr4 since they were new since my dad was probably one of the first people to build them, the 6a13tt was a pretty great performing engine the differences between the standard 6a13 was the TT had dual over head cams with a more aggressive cam profile, a forged crank and bigger intake runners and a larger throttle body the clearances were different but the basic block architecture at its core was the same but the rods were always considered skinny and they’d bend around 500hp after you turned up the boost but they can handle 800-900 on a stock block with better turbos and better rods haha. I have a lot of the background info in depth of the cars development and whatnot if you ever need some resources or want to learn more about the VR4, Great video my bro. one note I will leave is majority of the VR-4s had a Porsche derived Semi automatic (automated manual) the manual they only made like 800 officially (galant and legnum)

Galants are literally my all time, all round favorite car, I've had all kinds of cars, from classics, to modern sports, and the galant has been the most reliable, cheap power, most smooth and comfortable drive I've every had .. it's amazing

hey i loved ths episode, oww i do own the galant vr4 and i can tell you tht itsa beast and its also called the Evo zero....hopefully you do a review on one because ths beast can handle huge mounts of power
At the Mitsubishi Owners Club of Kenya (MOCK) we have a member with a Legnum and a member with a VR4.
I'm sure they can allow you to sample them.
Also at MOCK we have a saying that goes "We don't buy cars to save fuel" so the fuel economy thing is hot air to us 😎
I will admit when it comes to the engine bit by bit explanation and comparison, you did an exemplary nice job man..keep it up
Man this car was beautiful
Its not advisable to get any car with a GDI Engine especially from the Japanese markets because they tend to start having perfomance issues due to our fuel. You need to run on high octane Fuel maybe atleast 98 to keep the engine healthy(The engines were typically designed and intended to run on 105 Octane). The Carbon Build Up eventually results to Knocking.
Hi sir I have a galant 240m with 4g69 engine and I really love it. This shows that not all galant are bad. Sometimes you just need to appreciate it once you ride it. Haha. I love your reaction and review of this car.

This is one of the most beautiful sedans every made and also one of the most reliable. I had a 1999 Super Saloon in dark green. It had the 2.0L 4G63 SOHC 4 cylinder, 4 speed automatic, 4 wheel disc brakes, 12 spoke alloy wheels, fog lamps, rear spoiler, and grey fabric interior. I miss that car so much, even though my 2013 Mazda6 comes very very close.
Would you know about the 2.4L 4G64? Thinking about it on the Pajero with 5 speed Manual.
@@javiskaringa What do you need to know about it? They are very similar, but if you are looking for specifics, I would say try to grab a workshop manual (avoid anything that isn't a factory manual) and join a Pajero/Montero/Shogun messageboard.
