I bicycled up to this mountain top/ ridge from the hotel in Port Townsend. It was one of my hardest climbs yet in all of the west. It was cloudy, with no view. I dtove up there the next morning. It was cloudy with no view. My Montrail trail running shoes are named after Hurricane Ridge. Guess whst? I am sure up there, right now, there is cloudy with no view.
It was filmed in June last year. It's lovely up there any time of year, though. Once I happened to be there at sunset, and there was an astronomy club setting up their telescopes. One of them let me take a peak at Saturn and Jupiter. Turns out it's a great place for stargazing, as well as mountain gazing.
