Ein sehr schönes Video du erklärst die Lichteffekte und das Glänzen so toll, ich habe mir das Video wieder gespeichert so kann ich jeder Zeit schauen wie du es machst, vielen Dank für das Zeigen. 🥰💖🌹
I think this is one of the most useful tutorials I've watched on the subject. Light and shade can make or break a picture, and I feel I am always too tentative when trying to convey the change in tones. The idea of using shadow watercolour as an underpainting is a game changer for me. Thank you so much.
LOVE this. What a great tutorial! I had to watch it twice. I love those skulls and how you took the time to show us what they actually look like. I have learned SO much from you, Lisa. Thank you for these videos and all that you do to teach each of us what you know. YOU ROCK!!
Thank you. I am working on this image now. I like how you used the watercolor to quickly and loosely apply base color. I plan to give that a try in the future
Lisa, this looks phenomenal! I have been binge watching your videos (but I haven't finished them all yet 😜). You're such a great artist and teacher! You explain them all so well! Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge with us. I don't know if you'll be able to read this or if you accept requests but I am hoping (wishing, praying, anticipating) that you'd make a tutorial on how to color a holographic effect on clothes using colored pencils. Most tutorials use copic markers and I don't feel confident enough to use those. Again, thank you for being you.
Oh cool. Thank you. I do read all the comments, and I have a file with video requests that i keep updated. I am adding your request to it. :) Sounds like a super fun topic.

sensational effects! i am just learning about the world of colouring and love how you explain and teach various effects, cool to put your friends into your books!
That's true, of course. But technically, that's light reflecting off particles, aka objects ;) And that's a great topic for another tutorial, but what I'm referring to here is most of the time and in normal conditions. I am advising colorists to stay away from drawing ray lines that symbolize light and try to visualize where light will fall instead.
Oh my gosh this is so cool. And we get to color Laurie. So awesome!!!
aww love this picture
You are a true artist. I love it! I never thought of using white!! and not coloring the skin just a regular skin tone or how you do those shadows!!
Awww thank you

Light beams are visible during high humidity and fog, through water, and so forth. It's not always cartoony 😳
