as a muslim the ramadan interpretation is spot on. i simply wheeze through the day and regain my bass and colour at sunset
Ahaha respect u guys for fasting many of us couldn't even get past the 1st day without drinking and eating.
@@pena1950 you know that you're supposed to eat after sundown right?
@@reallettuceforlunch2192 Yeah yeah just giving some context Abt Ramadan I am from sg so I know that.
I'm a muslim but is Ramadan count as Holiday? I know Eid is but im not sure about Ramadan.
@@NHJ03 It can be counted as one, for many people around the world celebrate it.
edit : It's not quite exactly a Holiday, but Muslims celebrate it for a whole month.
Who else is so happy when they bring back their original violin charades?? it’s my fav type of twoset episode 😆
agreed!
Love charades!
Me
Yo i love charadesss🤩
Omg Bach I was just practicing your fantasia
Twoset: we have a knew setup, no more white wall.
Also Twoset: *uses white wall*
Haha. New setup is only for sitdown videos. With the table there's no space for the chaos of charades
*new
White walls just legend and tradition =)
Brett recognized “E G G”, without looking at Eddy’s hand.
But the “Egg day” is so hilarious!!!😂
I would’ve thought he was trying to say St. Peter and St. Paul’s day.
I laughed hard when he said E G G, but I cried from laughing when he said Egg Day and then National Breakfast Day
@@lowheadvarney158 The way he said it with such confidence and eggcitement had me wheezing 😂
The first piece is not Tchaikovsky Melody, it's Elgar's Salute d'amour 😂 But what's funny is that Brett made a mistake, Eddy didn't correct him and even Editor-san who always makes fun of Breddy didn't notice that 😂😂😂 idk I just love it anyways 😂
I also doubted myself 8(
wow thanks for pointing out. they do sound similar though
I came to the comments to say the same 😅
I was thinking the same thing glad someone pointed it out lol
@@jankisi Both pieces have the same "romantic vibes", it's indeed quite easy to mix them up. I didn't notice the mistake either, only realized it by reading the comments...
4:46 of course, the famous "triple A battery" day that the world celebrates. On this day, you'd better get at least three As on your homework or you are screwed lol
Aye, that was hilarious!
Oh man I was surprised to see Songkran here then suddenly so sad you guys don’t know it haha heart is broken💔 Appreciate that it was included tho🥹 in case anyone is curious it’s the new year festival in Thailand taken place in mid April. The word Songkran is originally Sanskrit and it means a step into a new beginning. The holiday is internationally famous for splashing water at each other but we do traditional activities like visiting hometowns, receive blessings of ancestors and making merits as well:)
Thank you for teaching me about your holiday! Since it’s a new year festival, do you celebrate Lunar New Year as well or just Songkran?
Oh! I was in Thailand when that happened when I was a little kid. The splashing water thing was super fun. My friends brother fell into a barrel with ice water as lady boys chased him 🤣 we even got ice cream cause they splashed water on us
@@aesal1999 typically we don’t celebrate lunar New Years but I always see decorations around for it lol. Fun fact, Songkran is technicallly the “Thai New Year” that used be set around the lunar calendar like Lunar New Years!
Oh this was soo cool to learn about, thank you for sharing! We also have our country's traditional new year in April
@@aesal1999 Thai native with Chinese descent here. My family celebrate both as well as a number of people. And we have a lot of Thai-Chinese in the country so Lunar New year is quite a thing in Thailand.
Well, a BIG Happy Mother's Day to our dearest Mommy Yang and Mommy Chen, who gave birth to two bright stars that light up my world! And of course, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms~~ If they ask you to practice today, you'd better do so lol

Egg day, national breakfast day Dead day and basically the whole video just made me laugh😶😂. i love twosets charades. very nice playing and funny.
Eddy: plays Mother Goose Suite, praying Brett’s going to get it
Brett: thinks real hard
Brett: YA!!
Me: wtf is YA day 😂
Lmao, I have no idea how Brett guessed New Years Eve from Eddy playing a g and pointing with his finger. Best friends telepathy or something like that I guess 😂
G is the first string and he used the first finger, i think that's why. still telepathy tho 😅
"Llorona" would represent perfectly "día de muertos". And there are a couple songs for mothers day that any mexican would recognize immediately. Anyway, it was fun and a good challenge!! Saludos from México!

Hey Hoàng, my friend Shiela says you’re not smart enough or creative enough to be a lawyer. Says your wardrobe isn’t very good either.
Eddy's guess of Dragonboat Festival from the hints 'Asian' and 'ocean' was a pretty good one even though it wasn't the correct answer. I was quite impressed until Editor-san's roast showed up and I lost it😂
Brett pronounces the word "Oktoberfest" better than I had thought lol
Brett potraying ramadan is actually pretty spot on

Welcome :)

Oh my goodness, you’ll have so much to go through! If you haven’t already, please go to the very first few videos, their musical covers, they are so well done.
TwoSet skipping hannukah AND yom Kippur = suss
Rip Diwali and Holi, you'll be remembered
yom kippur is the jewish holiday of atonement. we observe by fasting all day and asking to be forgiven for the wrongs we have done over the last year. it comes a week after rosh hashanah, which is jewish new year. i would love if you guys did a video on klezmer/jewish folk music one day!
All the Jews watching Hannukah pop up: Ooo I wonder which song they'll use...
twoset: *don't know the holiday*
Jews: *tRiGgErEd*
I loved that you included Oktoberfest. And as someone living next to the site where it takes place, I can comfirm that it actually feels like doom when the masses of tourists arrive in fall.
😂 but it's not a national holiday.
@@kathakailin true but we treat it like one in Munich 😂
Oans, zwoa, g'suffa....Ein prosit der gemütlichkeit
How sad both Hannukah AND YOM KIPPUR got no effort!?!? So much great Yiddish tunes!
Kol Nidrei!
I get that. They're probably just not that familiar with this type of music
But Brett’s pronunciation of yom kippur killed me
It's still nice Editor San included them 😁
Yiddish tunes, are we talking klezmer? Let's get some Ladino songs going and have a party in the comments.
Idk why, but I really liked the way Eddy said "No!" at 1:08, like his voice got much deeper than his usual tone 😂
Seeing Eddy go the Dies Irae route doesn’t surprise me.
Seeing him go the ORIGINAL GREGORIAN CHANT Dies Irae route (instead of Mozart or Verdi)… now THAT caught me off guard and made my day
It makes me forgive him for spelling "egg" for Easter

5:44 - I think Eddy plays Ysaye for Boxing Day because Vengerov said it was supposed to sound like a boxing match. I have learned so much from this channel.
"Carnival of Dubious Animals" had me legit LOLing. Editor-san is the hero we need AND the hero we deserve.
0:32 that’s not Melodie (both Brett and editor-san made a mistake lol,I guess you didn’t practice enough huh?)
It’s Elgar salut d'amour
I like how they messes up Elgar's Salut d'amour with Tchaikovsky

That instant Chanukah skip broke my heart 😂😂😂

You know what I'm going to go play traditional stuff tonight instead of practicing maybe it'll be a constructive use of the feels
As a Muslim fan, I'm so happy and proud that they added Ramadan in the list ❤❤
Them: What is Chanukkah? What is this Yom Kippur?
Me: I mean... they at least know what fiddler on the roof is right? They could play that right?
Them: Skip!
Me: *cries in dreidel dreidel*
Glad they at least included some Jewish holidays!
Even if they've never heard kol nidre, they could've just played hava nagila for hannukah since more people have heard of it...
Pls refer to Kol Nidrei as adapted from the traditional melody by Max Bruch. Hanukkah has a large supply of songs but 2 pop songs known out there are Adam Sandler's song and Happy Hanukkah by Matisyahu. Beautiful playing as always!
I thought that American dreidal song was the one thing most people associated with Hanukkah. Someone needs to do Ochos Kandelikas on the violin, get done Sephardi action going. Also, how can you not think of one thing for Divali?
Sad high five lol....
So they still can make up new themes for charades, I’m genuinely impressed
Brett's turkey was actually pretty accurate.
Being a Jew from the US (in an area with a relatively sizable amount of Jewish people) I forgot that we’re a very small minority of the world population until I saw them looking confused and not knowing Hanukkah or Yom Kippur lmao
He could have played “bruch’s” kol nidrei op 47
For yom kipper
0:41 EGG DAY hahahahah
Brett is totally me.. there should be a Nat'l Breakfast Day! where everyone is required to eat breakfast 🍳🍳🍳
Can’t make resurrection day any more secular than people did with Christmas, right?

I'm a little surprised that Eddy didn't know what Hanukkah was; despite being one of the least important Jewish holidays, it seems to be the most well known. Great video as always, such a joy to watch :]
Plus there are so many memorable tunes...
Shoulda played Dreidel Dreidel Dreidel or something. Even Hava Nagila would've at least put them in the right culture...
Yeah...
Editor-san's uncultured counter gave me an ungodly amount of joy, especially on Hanukkah, watching it tick upward each time they decided not to even try.

"It's festive!" bro you're doing world holidays😂
Mothers day should officially become tiger mum day.
Brett and Eddy when any non-Asian, Christian, or American holiday shows up: "Nah, skip this" 😂
Happy mothers day to all the varieties, dance, soccer, helicopter and tiger moms included!
As a very Desi person, let me explain to any of you who don't know what Deepavali (Diwali, but I'm southern Indian XD) and Holi are.
Deepavali is what most people know as the Festival of Lights, where we light Oil lamps, or "Deepa"(s). Since the invention of -Colourful Arson Material- Fireworks, Deepavali has come to include them too. This is typically celebrated in late October - early November based on the lunar calendar to commemorate Rama, the 7th avatar of Vishnu.
Holi is the festival of colour and spring, and we celebrate by throwing FOOD-SAFE (a lot of people just throw unsafe chalk power, please don't.) colours and getting everyone coated in a rainbow. Music, dancing, and all-around festivities are key to this holiday. It's my personal favourite!
I love how Brett looked at Eddy before confirming that he would'nt know the festival, and he was right :')))
Love that Brett described St. Patrick’s Day with Spring, half-spelling “green,” and the drone snippet of Mozart 4 mvt 3 - and it worked! 😂
"the drone snippet of Mozart 4 mvt 3"
I probably earn an "Uncultivated counter" point, but I don't understand what that has to do with St Patrick's Day.
I would have thought a bit of an Irish jig would have been a good clue.
@@djhalling maybe it sounded to them like bagpipes? 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t see the relationship myself, I was just so excited to hear that part of the concerto being referenced 😂
Yeah, the jig from St. Paul’s Suite or an Irish jig would have made sense! 😆😊
I was surprised, they usually default to playing the Irish washer woman for all things Irish.
So... 2 of which you didn't know were in my culture, Jewish.
Hannuka is basically we celebrate the winning on the Greeks about 2000-2500 years ago (it's not the only thing, and the reasons why we celebrate this is a bit long and I think that if you don't know the Jewish culture you'll probably won't understand why...)
You Kippur is THE day at the Jewish culture. That's the day God decide who'll live and who'll die and such. We don't eat or drink at this day (25 hours (from sunset to the first stars of the day after) and we are like angels. Even though it's sound like a sad day, it's supposed to be, maybe not happy but something like... powerful. Also it is belived that at this day God forgive the bad things we did, so that is why it's also kind of happy. (And no, if you say "I'll do those things and then God will forgive me" - you'll just die a day before)
love u twoset~ i missed violin charades so much omg im so glad ya'll are bringing them back (yay!!) as an indian american, i really enjoy holidays like diwali and holi! if you get the chance to look them up and see what they're all about, im sure you would love the concept and theme behind it!

I discovered the channel recently (thanks to their collab with Nigel Ng!) and I just love it!!! I know nothing about violin and still I am enjoying the videos. Hope to see you live performing one day Brett and Eddy!
Their subs have moved up swiftly thanks to that collab. As a result, I've been binge watching Uncle Wodger! So you know nothing about violin... Neither did I, 16 months ago and now I'm learning to play the damn thing. Love it really but you have been warned. They've inspired 100's to pick up the instrument...

Asian ocean day → dragon boat festival
this deduction actually makes some sense lol
though it is totally two different holidays with Songkran
the former one is a traditional Chinese holiday while the latter is a traditional Thai holiday

as well as getting away from the stock audition pieces
how about the berg conterto or stravinsky and many more recent
pieces which will eventually make their way to the repertoire
if there are any in the future
When your fav holiday comes but they just skip it right away
It's a shame 2 SET doesn't know any of the Chanukah pieces, I find them to be some of the most moving holiday music. And for Yom Kippur, both musicians of 2CELLOS have performed Kol Nidre so beautifully that music fans from across the world have been moved to tears with how deep that piece is.
On another note, this was a celebratory game!😉😘
I love how they posted a video advertising the lack of blank walls yesterday. Then filmed a video with a blank white wall.

He says that like they didn't skip Holi, the same thing with colored powders 😂
I was thinking of William Grant Still's "Mother and Child" for mothers day. It's a very beautiful piece.
The person who couldn't recognize Hava Nagila doesn't know what Hannukah is? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you. Brett going "nah you don't know this one" for Yom Kippur was just icing on the cake.

2:32 I‘m german but didn‘t know that Oktoberfest was a national holiday 😂😂😂 maybe it should be 😂👍
Yeah it’s Bavarian and more like a festival, as the name suggests.
Maybe they used "holiday" as an umbrella term for holidays, festivals, events, traditions etc. Because Valentine's Day isn't a holiday too. A lot of other people complaining about this but I don't think it's that deep. (I'm not saying you guys are doing it, just some people) It's a very enjoyable video but I still see people arguing about whether Ramadan is a holiday or not lol
