I like this. Because the original end had the trio stuck in dreamland and the world is doomed. Here , the heroes raise... and they get to fight. In this version , the fight goes on. In this version there is hope. This , I can live with.
i can't believe i'm writing it but i'm gonna wait froever for the season 6 to happen. Didn't expect much from the seires but bloody hell it's just too good. well at leas they had a proper ending. Not like poor 'In the flesh' show :(
2:04 - Fantastic line! I prefer this ending to the transmitted one, because it not only left open the possibility that Being Human could come back, but having a proper series of Becoming Human too. Still, never mind, eh!
Just finished watching being human. I noticed that season 5 felt a tiny bit rushed, perhaps this was the original ending to episode 6, that would then lead into episodes 7 - 8. The ending we got essentially said the same thing as this, but in a more subtle way befitting of a series conclusion. When I say rushed, the trio only learned about who Hatch was at the end of episode 5, and bad Hal was only around for 1 episode also.
it got shortened from 8 episodes to 6. then the bitches from BBC cancelled the show. If they wanna cancel a show, cancel fucking top gear! this was quality and still have life.
I'm surprised they weren't more devastated that it was a fantasy, I mean its all they had ever wanted, they finally become human, find out it was a fantasy and their reaction is "well shit". Especially thought Tom would be a bit more upset.
They should have shown this then gave us at least one more episode where the devil is defeated by Hal - after all, we were at the stage where, in the real world, Alex had not drunk the blood and Hal hadn't said the incantation. He needs to say that, she drinks the blood, because it is not Hal's blood he stays alive and this time he kills Beelzebub instead of crying over Catherine's death.
I'm grateful for this because the original ending kinda ticked me off. The entire series 4 was about saving the world. That mission was so important that it was made the finale to Annie's arc. Then a few months later, the world suffers an even worse fate as the remaining protagonists are blissfully unaware? Makes it all seem rather pointless. If it wasn't for the open plot thread of Rook's introduction, the series 4 finale would've been a satisfying close to the entire show. The last of the original friends moves on as the torch is passed to a new crew who have found each other. I enjoyed the chance to see more of these characters, but this final story was a bit rushed and messy.
wouldn't it be awesome if somehow this trio ended up meeting the aidan, josh, and sally in the u.s version of being human and continued this storyline?
When I heard there was an extra scene after the end I was under the impression it would confirm that they were actually human, i found this disappointing because of the fact there is no more. I'm going to ignore this bit and carry on in my 'they are really human' bubble. Unless they carry on.....
Guys it's not really a cliff hanger. This scene ends with them being all, "Let's go save the world" and what happens at the end of EVERY super hero movie when they say "Let's go save the world"? THEY SAVE THE WORLD, dumb dumb...
Terrible decision, BBC. While I liked the show before, I loved it this season with these three, The Devil may seem the ultimate villain, but clearly that story hadn't played out. Plus, there's a lot more they can do after dispatching the Devil. Here in the US, Supernatural dispatched the Devil years ago, and is still going strong. Why? Because it's not about the villains, but about the characters, just like Being Human. There was a lot of creative life left here.
I don't know... it kind of felt a little played out...maybe you could have had a 6th season but going up against the devil has a ultimate feel... unless you want to go higher up the food chain, and they kinda did that in season 2 (ish) I really enjoyed the show, and it had a good emotional payoff to end it... This is just dicking around...if a series is ending, give it a satisfying ending. As some have said, treat it as a what if...
WHAT?? -_- Why on earth was this scene EVER made???? :/ Totally destroys the meaning of the ending of series 5 and it's ambiguous ending. Also why the hell put in a cliffhanger like that if the show is never going to return??? Unhappy with this. Shall be putting it out of my mind and shan't be considering it canon.
I think they made this scene so they could make it the final scene *if* they got renewed for a sixth series. When it became clear series 5 would be their last, they cut it from the episode and didn't air it.
TheDelikizzz It most likely is. At the end of the episode we see Hals domino, Alex's... something and the origami wolf that the devil made inside the dream world. The origami wolf shouldn't have been there if it was the real world.
oh come on! why? why even bother? i liked the ending, it was ambiguous, left you wanting more. and then you give us more? that's not how that should work. everyone should be left wondering.
II think this scene wasn't aired, it was made just in case they got renewed for a sixth series. That's why they cut it from the End. They then probably later just put it on a Dvd as an extra.
I like this.
Because the original end had the trio stuck in dreamland and the world is doomed.
Here , the heroes raise... and they get to fight.
In this version , the fight goes on. In this version there is hope.
This , I can live with.
there is no hope of a return. BBC are cunts
This scene feels more like a cliffhanger ending with hopes of a sixth series than anything else.
Im glad that they did this, after seeing the origami wolf on the mantle you knew it was a dream, and this explained what happened after.
I went on a rant after watching the final series on Netflix yesterday. But now that I've seen this scene. . .Bravo, Being Human. Bravo.
Thats the perfect start to a series 6 i wish it would come back!!!!
One fantastic reason to bring back the trio .... please... BBC. Love these 3
I cannot express how grateful I am for you uploading this. But I know want to interrogate the BBC on WHY THEY CANCELLED THIS!!!
i'm so glad they added this scene cause seeing the paper wolf at the very end was so sad
i can't believe i'm writing it but i'm gonna wait froever for the season 6 to happen. Didn't expect much from the seires but bloody hell it's just too good.
well at leas they had a proper ending. Not like poor 'In the flesh' show :(
Have never seen this, finally a satisfactory ending to the series
MOVIE, NOW! They could bring back the whole old cast for cameos as they try to save humanity!
the perfect replacements for the original three characters....if it were anybody else I think id have stopped watching
YOU BRING THIS SHOW BACK!
Seriously....there NEEDS to be a series 6....please BBC
2:04 - Fantastic line!
I prefer this ending to the transmitted one, because it not only left open the possibility that Being Human could come back, but having a proper series of Becoming Human too. Still, never mind, eh!
BRING EM BACK
they should have kept it in!! pls bring it back!!
Same! A movie with the original cast and new would be awesome.
Thank you for uploading the DVD extras!:)
loved the new cast more than the old one and thought this was the best season they had...just hate that it's over.
Just finished watching being human. I noticed that season 5 felt a tiny bit rushed, perhaps this was the original ending to episode 6, that would then lead into episodes 7 - 8. The ending we got essentially said the same thing as this, but in a more subtle way befitting of a series conclusion.

we need a movie now pls!
Oh god! I miss it so much!!!!! :o(
I want more!
Thank you!! If you have the deleted scene with Hal and Alex cleaning up the bloody shot glass, I'd love to see it too.
And to think they cancelled this for "In the Flesh",
Best final ever.
This makes it less sad THANK GOD they just resume being badasses
I'm surprised they weren't more devastated that it was a fantasy, I mean its all they had ever wanted, they finally become human, find out it was a fantasy and their reaction is "well shit". Especially thought Tom would be a bit more upset.
Here comes the next series me thinks!
i bloody knew it!!
I think the shoud bring it back
So this is an in for them to restart it again I want Halex!!
Daaamn knew it was too good to be true!
There needs to be a movie made or another season.
AND THEY CALLED ME MAD
Holy shit so it was a trick all along.
"I was going to have Banoffee Pie."
"I was going to die one day."
"Sod that! I was going to have sex!"
BE SO FOR REAL BRO i just wanted a conclusive ending you know like something to tie EVERYTHING together
I need for there to be a series 6 or movie or something!
I'm grateful for this because the original ending kinda ticked me off. The entire series 4 was about saving the world. That mission was so important that it was made the finale to Annie's arc. As an American, I completely 100% agree with this! Our version is terrible compared to the original.
HERE COMES THE BOOM
wouldn't it be awesome if somehow this trio ended up meeting the aidan, josh, and sally in the u.s version of being human and continued this storyline?
Series 6 please please please please please?
Make a movie! Come on whithouse they have kick starter in the UK!! But in the mean time.... Human Hal is very hot, combination of good and bad Hal. /
I'm DYING
When I heard there was an extra scene after the end I was under the impression it would confirm that they were actually human, i found this disappointing because of the fact there is no more. I'm going to ignore this bit and carry on in my 'they are really human' bubble. Unless they carry on.....
Whaaa there's more
I really want to believe it was real. I was a fool....
Well now they can't not explain. When's the movie?
It's not quite kind - make a scene like that knowing that the serial will not return. I must forget about this exclusive scene at all.
What are the chances of a Being Human movie??? Want...
Movie! Movie! :D
To borrow (and alter) a line from Community... five seasons and a movie?
*now want
Bugger...
Movie?
Yes I knew it cuz in the last episode there was this wolf made of paper still there I doubt it was not real . So its a dream there in knew it
Maryann Dewan this isn't the real ending
rachael darcy yeah .. I wish they made more tho . these cliffhangers suck
Guys it's not really a cliff hanger. This scene ends with them being all, "Let's go save the world" and what happens at the end of EVERY super hero movie when they say "Let's go save the world"? THEY SAVE THE WORLD, dumb dumb...
Kickstarter campaign anyone?
Or a graphic novel.
I am :)) very :) sad :)))

They wouldn't even need to make a new trailer if they bring it back. No more filming so it could happen and be a complete secret
Simple! A Wizard Did It! lol
I don't know... it kind of felt a little played out...maybe you could have had a 6th season but going up against the devil has a ultimate feel... unless you want to go higher up the food chain, and they kinda did that in season 2 (ish) I really enjoyed the show, and it had a good emotional payoff to end it...

As some have said, treat it as a what if...
MOVIE!!! Why make this such a cliff hanger that's so mean :(
This is not the real ending you know
I would think the beeb will make a feature length special to tie up the loose ends.bit of an insult to the series if they don't
WHAT?? -_-
Why on earth was this scene EVER made???? :/
Totally destroys the meaning of the ending of series 5 and it's ambiguous ending.
Also why the hell put in a cliffhanger like that if the show is never going to return???

nope nope nope why did i watch this. does thing even count as canon?
Probably, technically not but it's kind of what was already implied at the end of the episode anyway.
TheDelikizzz It most likely is. At the end of the episode we see Hals domino, Alex's... something and the origami wolf that the devil made inside the dream world. The origami wolf shouldn't have been there if it was the real world.
