You crushed it! Btw when I have sore ankles, I run in altra shoes. They take some time getting used to, but it’s been beneficial for me when it comes to stability.

The best place to find training plans are the workouts in a binder series by Velo Press (Rodale Publishing). I think the rise of TP, Strava & other online platforms has made their library of content to fall out of print. The books by Sage Rountree (athlete’s guide to yoga & The Athlete's Pocket Guide to Yoga: 50 Routines for Flexibility, Balance, and Focus) are also worth finding. Especially for the Chandra Namaskar [yoga] sequence.
Fun video :) this is not the typical day of a long distance triathlete tough ;) Typical day would be 2 sports, some mobility or gym work and alot of resting :) ...and much more Z2 work 😅
@@LucyDavisFit of for sure alot of athelete train differently, that just seem like very low z2 volume compared to the average long distance pro. Not saying its impossible a pro would have a day like this. Im curious, which pro did you get that training from ? Great content btw :)
Hi Lucy, i have spinal arthritis and love to lift weights, which makes me feel good. People have recommended ice baths, are they really as good as people say?
I do training like you did today and I am an AG triathlete, PROs do way more. What you did on the bike was a VO2 max and we don't do a run off the bike after vo2 but after long bike rides. The run off the bike is called brick session and if I ride on zwift i always get off my bike, put my running shoes on and head out in my bike gear as otherwise you don't get the right effect of the session that you do in races. You said your hips are hurting you on the bike, which to me sounds like you need a bike fit.
As usual so inspiring !! I had the same issue with my ankle since the end of December, maybe you can try to do some PAILs and RAILS to gain mobility and repair the tissue, it really helped me to get back to running

I think biking on the trainer is really boring, but the distances and sights you can do outside make it awesome for me.
