I took a family trip here to search for my own Manatee swimming experience - as well as try out some exciting new underwater GoPro gear.

Saw her waving at the puppy and people on the boat and then realized that's my dog and my boat! Glad you got to enjoy my hometown. About 25 years ago most of the river was as clear as Three Sisters.

OH man i was a kid and use to swim there all the time it was super clear back in the 90s. just seeing the water is making me cry. the core was reset the whole planet is gnna clean up and clear up

AMaeTV I went to the three sisters and they were not there. But it’s kinda were the boats drive around. We went near docks and the sides of the walls and that’s where they are because of the seaweed. Living so close to Crystal River is amazing. I got a jacket to remember swimming with the manatees. It’s the best thing ever ❤️

raime M it’s really fun but in three sister spring you can’t swim so if you want to swim and kayak go to the entrance and ask them for the swim area and down the road from the swim area is a kayak rental place which lets you kayak and snorkel into the springs. There’s also a small swim area at a park, on the actual three sister springs you can only take nature walks.

Yes good info! You can kayak up to the outside of the springs but then you just tie up your kayak and swim in.

Went there today it's so clear the water was 72 degrees and some spots 20 feet deep so beautiful.

I grew up in Crystal River. This video triggered some serious nostalgia. If you want an almost guaranteed manatee sighting, go South to Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. :)

Glad you finally made it to Floridians hideout. Hope you went out to Fort Island too.
Some of the campers at Rainbow River, which also has crystal clear spring water, swam with the manatee on Crystal River in July. However, they had to book the touring company at 6:30 am. I didn't get to check it out myself, but some of the locals also said Pete's Pier is a place they often are by.
I live 10 minutes away from there and Homosassa Springs.... Steve Irwin visited the springs as well

I went exactly where you were (the place where you launched the prattle board with the little beach) and to the left in the little cove area and broken shed thing are usually some manatees

AMaeTV when I lived there it was the best years of my life. Ozello trail is where I lived and we call them sea cows bc they literally are like a fish & a cow. They LOVE cabbage 🥬

AMaeTV been there 3 times we bought a house not to far from there. It’s all about the season. Been there and seen 50 plus. The roped off area is where you cannot go but the rules don’t apply to the manatees. I have seen them rub right up against people.

Your daughter has beautiful great big blue blue eyes so cute. That looks so inviting. Never been there itchitucknee is not too far I've been there. We have blue springs here which have manatees but yu cant swim with them.

I use LOTS of different gear. I think in this I had the G7x along with the GoPro HERO6. Check out the recent videos on my channel for lots more about vlogging!

Yes! It's 2 hours west of Orlando. Just a tiny town with this super awesome spring/ river that brings tourists in. Where in Florida do you live?

Florida is loaded with crystal clear springs. Many on private land that most of us will never get to see. But as a native Floradan I have been able to visit many even before the state purchased them . I am not a Floridian just like a Texan is not a Texican.Look it up .
As part of the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, you're NOT allowed to fly your drone.
"Launching, landing, or operating an aircraft to include unmanned aircraft (drone)from or on lands and waters administered by the US Fish and Wildlife Service is prohibited, 50 CFR 27.34."
Permits are available and legislation has also changed
