Next you should combine amplified world generation with floating islands above with the farlands a couple hundred block near 30 million blocks to the world border and that would be the perfect world generation and you should also make it compatible with lots of other data packs and biome generation mods like oh the biomes you go and biomes o plenty and more. Great work BTW and I'm a bedrock player right now because I have no PC or steam deck but I will be a future Java player so thats why I'm asking

I had made this comment on one of your other videos earlier today, but only then after posting it realized you had a newer one and felt it was better here. Now that Create: Clockwork is out, I am very interested in starting a flying island server. We were wanting to add custom modifiers however, and I was curious if you knew of any methods within your own datapack to do some of them? We just wanted to see if we could separate the islands via biome, specifically when opting for the setting where islands spawn further away. Then possibly limit certain ores to specific biomes, or increase the ore spawn rates in specific biomes. Just curious if there's any methods to do this with datapacks, or CraftTweaker?
@MylesJacobSwie Separating Islands via biome: Likely impossible to do with datapacks. You can probably get close though but not 100%. Making Islands spawn further away: Can be done with a datapack fairly easily. Ores spawning in specific biomes / changing spawn rates per biome: Trivially easy with a datapack. I don't know how CraftTweaker works so I can't answer any questions about that though.
@@Klinbee Gotcha. In terms of tweaking ores and such, do you know any good resources for learning how to do those things? I've made a few datapacks, but I'm not experienced enough so I don't know how to do any based on world generation or ore spawn rates.
@@MylesJacobSwie Check out misode.github.io Very good resource many people use for worldgen datapacks. The main thing you need to know for modifying ores is ores are added based on the biome files (in their feature list), and ores themselves are placed_features, which are described by configured_features. So just to wrap that up, placed_features, configured_features, biome. Those are the main things you need to look at. I'm sure there are videos on it too if you need the extra help. worldgen.dev could also be of use.
This just uses the base floating islands worldgen style Minecraft used to have. I plan on making my own custom floating islands style in the future that will have mountains.
Go to the Modrinth download in the desc. and download the file. Open Minecraft and go to the create new world screen. Once there, hit more in the top right (will be different if you’re playing an older version, but…) then go to Data Packs. Click on that and then open folder, add in the download from modrinth, and then go back to the Minecraft screen. Click on the data pack now on the left side of your screen to add it to your world you will create, and then create a new world. Sorry if that explaination was a bit wordy, difficult to explain through text. I would look up how to install a data pack if you can’t get it to work :)
I checked every version of mod and datapacks from your site and sadly none of them loading im stuck at load screen and it never loads, it works without mods but doesnt want to go with my modpack :(
Huh yeah I forgot those exist. I don’t think I’m going to get rid of them in this project at least. That seems like normal 3d minecraft generation to me, like you could see something like that in the nether. Like I said in the video though, I am planning on making my own style of floating islands rather than just revamping the vanilla ones (and readding them since they were removed). I don’t plan on having flat platforms in that though. I’d love to have mountains and rivers on them too.
I think custom structures is out of the realm of what I want to do at the moment with these projects. However, I am working on another project called "Above and Below" that does include a custom structure. AxlYin is who is the main person who came up with this other project and he has made all the rooms for this floating castle/dungeon and it is amazing. I might make a video on it at some point. I'm sure there are other datapacks/mods that add custom structures that would be compatible with this though.
It should generally be compatible. If it isn't, you can try removing the "dimension" folder in the datapack and that should fix any issues. If you do have any issues, you can join my discord server and I can try to help you out.
Haha yeah, I’m in the process of downgrading it now. (Assuming you’re talking about Aetherial Islands). I can probably get that done tomorrow, but there’s a support mod that comes with it that I’d like to downgrade as well, but I’ve had issues with that…
Going to assume the support mod is the best part, the oceans, and be patient. I actually mostly like Aetherals smaller, island shaped, islands, I'm fine with broken rivers as they were, but the endless oceans of vanilla generation needed curbed the way Aether islands has
@@ryan___ryan2711 Yeahhh, exactly! But actually the support mod just stops structures from generating in the void in that messed up way. I think I’ll work on downgrading aetherial islands to 1.19 today :)

I absolutely love this!
These keep getting better, and better with every version.
awesome job! looking forward to the tutorial
good to see your still going with this! i really enjoyed playing on the earlier ones and i hope others can get that enjoyment too :D

Yeah on the oceans right? I'll look into it whenever I'm not busy.
I can also just make a version so that part is easily changable.
