I agree with you. People always ridicule what they can not understand. Barry's voice is great and even at 78 he still has a great voice on him. Always sings live which is something these young singers never do. Such a talent, Barry's singing technique has gotten better over the years compare to videos from the 70's and 80's and this is why I think some think Barry isn't singing right. Barry can sing circles around most of todays singers by far.
