I really like the overall style of this car. It's also about the right size for me with a couple of self driving young adults about the house, I don't need the SUV anymore. Excellent review. And actually I prefer not to see too many reviews of the ultra high power versions as I really doubt I would ever buy one.
I’ve just rewatched your review of the #3 We sat in one at the everything electric show on Saturday and I loved it. It’s gone to the top of list for my next EV. I think Pro+ is enough for me. I don’t like the premium wheels at all and I don’t think the extra kit on Premium is worth the extra money over the Pro+ I’m thinking of getting it in all black or the yellow with a black roof 😊
Quality shines through. Niche market I agree. As always price will determine sales. Smart have always been good. Nice to see the Chinese influence has not changed that. Side mirrors as an alternative?
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Had a smart for a hire car and liked them. Yes I would consider but the competition and price might favour others. looks like it will be a year or so before I buy a second EV and then it might be secondhand.
I'm not a big fan of the looks of many EVs but now I can add another to the list. Looks good, sounds like it's a good drive, good to have a storage bin at front for cable which I miss in mine. One I'd add to my list if I was at replacement stage.
A nice looking car with both conservative and daring colour schemes to suit all tastes . Interesting to see what the prices shall be and of course the Real World Range in wet , wintry Ireland .
Got my Ioniq 5 lease ending in about a year, this is very much on my radar as a next car. Have got 2 kids but they are young and still in car seats but at the stage when a pram is no longer needed. So this may be a perfect so d
I am considering buying a #3 but am a bit afraid of the firmer suspension, do you experience it as uncomfortable? is it really a big difference with the #1, I did a test drive with the #1 and thought it was very good, although a little firmer wouldn't be that bad as long as the difference is not too big, in Belgium #3 is not yet available for test drive, but I am considering ordering without a test drive
@@NevoEVReviewIreland I just tested the #3 Brabus because that was the only one they had available, of course because it is the Brabus the suspension was too stiff for me, but what bothered me the most is the sound insulation, compared to my Volkswagen Golf 7 the # 3 is very noisy inside, really too loud for me and is also the reason that I will certainly not buy the #3, I also drove the #1pro+ and found it a bit quieter inside, still not as quiet as my Golf7. I'm going to do a 2nd test drive with the #1 tomorrow to find out again whether I find it acceptable or not, maybe I'll buy the #1 then
Looks nice but not mad about the wheels they remind me of Caption America's Sheild. The price point will be interesting, probably hovering around €50k but you can see the quality in the fit and finish.
Hey Derek! Question about the headrests, was it comfortable for you? I assume you because you didn't mention it, but im curious if you noticed its in the way since i had a test drive and noticed for me (I'm also your height) I found it just slightly too low, as my spine was hitting it sometimes.
@@NevoEVReviewIreland I am 187cm tall and I was able to sit behind myself in #1. with a sliding bench and adjustable seats, I got even more boot space than #3. this is not a car for driving with 4/5 adults anyway. at the same time, it's shorter and easier to park. all we miss is probably newer software and maybe ventilated seats (while they are present in #1 manual, so my guess it was just cost-cutting decision while tech is there)
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Maybe in Ireland but not for me in the UK. 300km equates to approx 188 miles. Is that summer range? My ID3 58kWh achieve that in winter.
EX30 can achieve good interior build quality very easy, as it`s almost an empty box. I was extremely disappointed from that interior. Looks a bit like Fiat Uno from the 90s. The #3 is an entirely different thing but sure, it depends on your personal taste and preferences.
A great review as always Derek! Looking forward to seeing this one on Irish roads next year
You and me both!

Thanks for the comment. The BRABUS is for a certain type for sure. Definitely take it for a test drive
As an owner of two Smart cars ,it is sad as they will never make it to Australia. I’d buy one tomorrow!
Australia will get it eventually. It’s just recently launched in Malaysia and next year Thailand. Oceania after that.
I think it will make it down under for sure. Your market is growing at a nice pace.
actually you can now order this and the #1 online in Australia. They are available now
I would definitely opt for the 22kW AC charging. Really like the discreet button for the tailgate in the Smart badging. 👍👍
22kW is such a no-brainer for sure. It really should be standard

lovely colour
I really liked it and it seems to be a hit with a lot of people

I'm going to probably say all three at this point. Would you consider the Smart Des?

All to be revealed in the next few months! Looking forward to getting it in right hand drive
LOVE THE NEW #3 ❤
THE NEW #2 (FORTWO) will arrive in the end of 2025.
I really hope to see more SMART cars on the roads ❤
Oh, a smaller smart is what's needed. 2025 won't be long coming around

I'd like to see the alloy wheels without their aero hubcaps. Don't seem the same at all than on the Pro/Pro+
Does the Panorama roof have sunblind?
Not on the #3, yes on the #1
Gorgeous car❤
I agree!

Hold on until you test drive. Firmer but not too firm for me but you may have different requirements

Very Captain America wheels! All about Aero. I'd agree with the guess in price.

I only drove it for a few hours so not that I can remember. I hope to have it again in a few weeks
This car i like
Me too
Smart #1 looks like a better car from almost every angle.
Not many people would say that Michal! There is great space in the #1 for sure.

How tall are you?
6'2" or 188cm
Are there any Smart dealers in Ireland and if so who
Launching at the end of the month!
Wheels are nice
Some like and some not so much
Did you say it was achieving around 300km? That’s not much for that size of car.
Really? I think it's all we need
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Maybe in Ireland but not for me in the UK. 300km equates to approx 188 miles. Is that summer range? My ID3 58kWh achieve that in winter.
It should make more than 350 km in summer easily. WLTP for the #3 Premium is 455 km. I can tell you soon, as I ordered one last week :)
Disappointed by the range 455km is really 300 at best. Price is also in high end side.
Definitely premium. I'm doing a range test in a few weeks
1.8m sensible! Got a Niro might swap it!
Very sensible. Niro a great car
Nice car. Could have done more with design - looks too much like #1
I think this is going to be the design language for all models. I see a 7 seater EQB sort of size Smart spotted in China recently.
I am I going mad or have you changed the name of your channel 😂
Just added the word Nevo as I'm the General Manager in my day job for Nevo.ie
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Cool 😎.keep up the great content
Get off the fence....... do you like it or not 😂😂😂😂
😂😂 sorry. So indecisive
Don’t like the centre panel. Doesn’t look comfortable or nice.
